OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord CE 6 launching in India today: What to expect

Both smartphones are aimed at targeting the mid-range market.

OnePlus is all ready to introduce the Nord CE 6 and Nord CE 6 Lite in India today. The Nord CE 6 comes with a 1.5K resolution display and a 144Hz refresh rate. The main rear camera is a 50-megapixel shooter with dual-axis OIS. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 CPU and has an 8,000mAh battery with wired fast charging and 27W reverse charging. It has a flat 144Hz display, a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex CPU, and a 7,000mAh battery.

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 series is targeted at the mid-range segment in India and consists of two models, the OnePlus Nord 6 and Nord CE 6, with the latter returning after two years with a Lite version. Both smartphones will be unveiled today at 12 noon. Ahead of the formal announcement, the company has announced the availability information of upcoming phones.

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 goes on sale May 8 at 12:00. The OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite will be available for purchase starting from 12 PM onwards on May 12. The Nord CE 6 Lite is expected to be priced at Rs 20,000-Rs 25,000. The CE 6 will come in three colourways: Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl and Pitch Black, while the Lite will be available in two colours: Vivid Mint and Hyper Black. The two phones will be on sale on OnePlus’s web shop, Experience outlets, Amazon and retail outlets in the nation.

OnePlus Nord CE 6 Series Expected Specifications

The OnePlus Nord CE 6 base model is built to withstand its surroundings, with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications for dust and water resistance and the MIL-STD-810H certification. This model is packed with high-quality audio capabilities, including dual stereo speakers, and a 32-megapixel front camera for high-resolution selfies and video conversations.

The smartphone has a 50-megapixel back camera, drastically enhancing photographic capabilities. It also supports 27W reverse charging for power management, which means it can charge other devices. Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 CPU, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 is backed by a generous 8,000mAh battery, ensuring extended use durations.

The smartphone also comes with an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, which leads to bright images and fluid graphics, especially useful for gaming and multimedia use. Also in the lineup is the Lite version, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite, which comes with the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex processor and a somewhat smaller, but still powerful, 7,000 mAh battery. This differential makes the Nord CE 6 series accessible to a wide audience wanting versatility and basic functionality.
