Oppo Find X8 Series camera details revealed ahead of India launch

The upcoming lineup is likely to launch in India in December.

Last month, the Oppo Find X8 Series was introduced in China. The lineup is scheduled to launch in India shortly. Oppo Find X8 and Oppo Find X8 Pro may be part of the next range. The business has not yet disclosed the precise debut date, but Oppo has unveiled the specifications of the Find X8 series camera. The smartphone will include the first dual periscope camera system with a triple prism fold reflection system in the world, as well as a dedicated camera Quick Button to launch the camera.

It is anticipated that the Oppo Find X8 Series will debut in India next month. The camera’s features have been made public by the firm just before it enters the Indian market. A unique Triple Prism Fold Reflection System and a new dual periscope camera system make the Find X8 Series the first in the world, according to the manufacturer.

A quad-camera system with GenAI capabilities including Telescope Zoom, HyperTone Image Engine, Dolby Vision video recording, and 4-mic Spatial Audio is said to be included in the Find X8 Series. To further serve photographers and creatives, it will also have features like Hasselblad Portrait, Master Mode for granular camera settings, and Lightning Snap, which allows you to take 100 pictures in 30 seconds.

It is claimed that the 50MP LYT-600 sensor and 3x telephoto lens would provide sharp images in any kind of lighting. By placing the lens parallel to the phone’s body, OPPO’s revolutionary Triple Prism Folded Lens minimises protrusion to just 3.09mm, guaranteeing a sleek, contemporary style while reducing weight and size by 30% and 24%, respectively.
Additionally, with its full 50MP resolution for crisp, detailed photos even in low light and optical image stabilisation, the 50MP IMX858 6x periscope camera will provide a wide range of photographic capabilities, from travel to stage performances.

According to Oppo, the Oppo Find X8 Series’ Sony 50MP camera with the LYT-808 sensor offers remarkable clarity in difficult lighting situations. Clearer, more vibrant images with superior contrast are produced by its sophisticated two-layer transistor pixel structure, which also increases dynamic range, minimises noise, and maximises light capture.
With 2-DOL HDR capture and OPPO’s upgraded HyperTone Image Engine, the Find X8 Series camera system performs better. For close-up shots of humans or animals, it maximises small features like hair or fur, producing more detailed images. When photographing 3x zoomed-in portraits on bright days, the engine additionally enhances details like lighting, shadows, and colours.

The AI Telescope Zoom on the OPPO Find X8 Series helps users zoom in on subjects while maintaining accuracy and clarity by utilising strong algorithms and generative AI models. Several zoom levels, such as 10x-20x, 20x-60x, and 60x-120x, are utilised with this technology. While the 20x-60x stage employs a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) model to maintain detail and improve clarity, the AI Telescope Zoom improves picture resolution. The 60x-120x stage ensures remarkable clarity in long-distance pictures by reconstructing images at the pixel level.

The OPPO Find X8 series features the Hasselblad Camera Mode, which showcases medium-format photos. It simulates the Hasselblad X2D camera, providing natural bokeh effects, amazing colour representation, and dynamic range. The mode may be utilised for professional images or more advanced customisation, highlighting Hasselblad’s rich tones, clarity, and accuracy. With focal lengths ranging from 24mm to 135mm, users may create their own perspective.
