Poco is all set to announce the addition of its latest 5G smartphone to its portfolio. The Chinese smartphone company today is going to host a virtual launch event to introduce the Poco M3 Pro 5G globally. The device is a follow-up Poco M3 and is a rebadged variant of Redmi Note 10 5G. It is likely to feature a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate support. In addition to this, it will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and may carry a 5,000mAh battery to juice the phone.
Poco M3 Pro 5G launch event will be hosted virtually today. The online event will kickstart at 20:00 GMT (5.50 PM IST). The event will be live-streamed via the company’s official YouTube channel and across all its social media channels includes Facebook and Twitter. It should be noted that the device was scheduled to launch in India as well and also appeared on the BIS certification website. But in the light of COVID-19 Poco will not launch any new phone in the near future in the country.
Expected Pricing
As for the pricing, the Poco M3 came with a starting price of $149 globally which translates to Rs 11,000. In that case, the Pro 5G variant will come with a higher price tag. As of now, there are no details on the Indian launch. However, the renders leak suggests that the phone would be available in Black, Blue, and Yellow colour options.
Expected specifications
Recently Poco M3 Pro 5G’s specification was teased by the company ahead of the official launch. The device is said to have a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display. It will have a 90Hz refresh rate and DynamicSwitch support. The DynamicSwitch will offer a more flexible viewing experience. As per the company, it will be backed by a 5,000mAh battery and will have 18W fast charging support. As per the leaked renders, there will be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a hole-punch cutout on the display.
Poco has also confirmed that Poco M3 Pro 5G will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In addition to this, it is slated to feature a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor. The teasers also suggest that the handset will be 8.92mm thin and weigh 190 grams.
