Xiaomi’s spin-off Poco is all set to launch a new smartphone in the Indian market soon. The company declared that Poco M5 is coming to India on September 5 which is the successor of Poco M4 launched in the nation last year. The company has not shared the specs and pricing information which is currently under wraps. But ahead of the formal announcement the anticipated price and its features have already been leaked on the web.
Poco M5 will be launching in India on September 5. The company will be hosting an online launch event that will be broadcast live on the firm’s official YouTube account for Poco India at 5.30 PM.
The Poco M5 features, specs and pricing details have not yet been disclosed by the company. In India, the Poco M5 might cost less than Rs 15,000, according to a report. According to reports, the price shown above is for the smartphone’s entry-level model.
Before the launch date announcement, the maker promised the release of a new device via Twitter. The tease included the word G99, which suggests that the phone would be powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC.
The Poco M5 is expected to be a 4G phone. It is claimed that it comes pre-installed with Android 12. According to reports, the phone has a 6.58-inch LCD screen with full-HD+ quality. A MediaTek Helio G99 SoC may power it, as was already mentioned. A 5,000mAh battery with at least 33W fast charging capabilities is rumoured to be included in the device. According to rumours, a Poco M5 variant with 5G compatibility may be released in the future.
The phone’s back cover is supposed to have a “chic leather-like” look. According to rumours, the Poco M5 may also have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. In addition to this, it might have dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5 connectivity capability.
