Poco M6 5G confirmed to launch in India on December 22

The smartphone is speculated to be a rebranded Redmi 13C 5G.

A few months ago Poco India introduced the Poco M6 Pro 5G in India. The company is now all set to announce its sibling Poco M6 5G very soon. The official teasers have revealed the design of the upcoming phone. In addition to this, the company has also created a dedicated page which highlights the key features of the smartphone. The device is said to be a rebranded variant of Redmi 13C 5G which arrived in India this month.

Poco took to X to announce the launch date of its upcoming smartphone in India. According to the company’s announcement, the Poco M6 5G will debut in India on December 22. The launch event will begin at noon in the country. The company has also created a dedicated launch event page on Flipkart to tease the availability of the device post-launch.

The design of the smartphone is being showcased before the actual launch. In addition to this, the Poco M6 5G can be seen donned in two colour options silver and charcoal black. The back panel has a huge camera module consisting of two camera sensors.
The landing page also revealed that the Poco smartphone will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC.

Apart from this, rumours suggest that the upcoming phone will be a rebranded variant of Redmi 13C 5G which debuted in India this month.

If rumours are to be believed then Poco M6 5G will feature a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD screen with 1,600 x 720 pixels of resolution. The display might support a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is likely to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC and will run on Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box.

The dual rear camera setup on the phone may include a 50-megapixel primary camera (f/1.8 aperture) and a secondary sensor for collecting depth data while Portrait mode is in use. In terms of selfies, the company has provided a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Moreover, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support is expected to be housed inside the Poco M6 5G.

Connectivity options: 5G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, 3.5mm audio port, and a USB Type-C port.
