Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G 5G mobile platform officially announced

The new chipset offers 5G, HDR gaming and more

The American chipset maker Qualcomm has announced its latest 5G mobile processor in its Snapdragon 7 series. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC comes with 5G capabilities with support for Sub-6 and mmWave, SA and NSA, and global 5G banding and multi-SIM. Moreover, it will be offering true HDR gaming with vibrant graphics paired with Adreno 619 GPU that offers up to 10% faster graphics rendering. Moreover, this will also bring support for 120 Hz on-device display along with up to 20% improvement in AI TOPS performance.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC is based on 64-bit Qualcomm Kryo 570 eight-core CPU cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz paired with Qualcomm Adreno 619 GPU for graphics. According to the company, this chipset offers up to 20 percent improvement in AI TOPS performance and up to 10 percent faster graphics rendering over Snapdragon 730G SoC and Snapdragon 750G SoC. And, the Wi-Fi 6-ready Qualcomm FastConnect 6200 Mobile Connectivity Subsystem supports stable, secure connections for that home-field advantage that also includes Bluetooth 5.1 and Snapdragon X52 Modem-RF system for 5G connectivity. This offers a 5G peak download speed of up to 3.7 Gbps (5G), 1.2 Gbps (LTE).

Whereas the Spectra 355L image signal processor, 14-bit, 2x Image Signal Processor (ISP) enhances the camera capabilities. It can support up to 192 MP single camera and up to 32MP dual camera set up with support for slow-motion videos, HDR10, HLG and HEVC set-ups.

On the display front the Snapdragon 750G SoC is capable of offering a Full HD+ display with a 120HZ refresh rate. The audio department has also been well taken care of by Qualcomm Aqstic smart speaker amplifier up to Qualcomm WSA8835, Qualcomm Hexagon Voice Assistant Accelerator, Qualcomm Aqstic audio codec up to Qualcomm WCD9385, Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology.

In terms of charging there is a Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology. For HD gaming it offers 10-bit color depth and 2020 color gamut along with other gaming features that include Adreno HDR Fast Blend which offers up to 2x better performance in complex rendering compared to the previous generation, while Qualcomm Game Color Plus boosts color and saturation for vivid, lifelike graphics. And, get the latest upgrades in real-time with updateable GPU drivers—no OS updates required.
