The Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi has announced the launch of its latest pocket-friendly smartphone in India. The Redmi 9 Activ is the latest addition by the company and is currently up for sale in the country.
The newest phone comes with a water drop style HD+ display and is powered by MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. In addition to this, the smartphone boasts a 5,000mAh battery and dual rear cameras.
Redmi 9 Activ price in India and availability details
Redmi 9 Activ has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 9,499 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage options. The 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant is available at Rs 10,999. The device comes in three colour options of Carbon Black, Coral Green and Metallic Purple.
The budget smartphone will be available via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studio stores in the country.
Redmi 9 Activ specs and features
Redmi 9 Activ comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ Dot Drop Display having 720×1600 pixels of resolution. The screen offers 400 nits of max brightness and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
The device runs on MIUI 12 based on top of Android 11. Under the hood, there is MediaTek Helio G35 SoC cooped with 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage that can be expanded via a microSD card.
For the photos and videos, Redmi 9 Active features a dual rear camera set up that includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 lens. There is an LED flash as well and the cameras also support features like AI Beauty 5.0 and AI scene detection.
Upfront, there is a 5MP selfies camera with an f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
Redmi 9 Active houses a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging. For connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v5, GPS/A-GPS, FM Radio and Micro-USB port. The phone also includes a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor.
