Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ have officially made their debut in the Indian market today. The newly launched Redmi smartphones share a lot of similarities. Both smartphones are powered by MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. In addition to this, they house a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD screen. There is a dual rear camera setup on both devices.

Redmi A2, Redmi A2+ price in India sale details

The price of the Redmi A2 starts at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage option. Whereas the 2GB RAM with 64GB storage model will be available with a price tag of Rs 6,499. There is another 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option that will sell at Rs 7,499.
The Redmi A2+ price in India has been set at Rs 8,499 for the single 4GB RAM with 64GB storage option.

Both the Redmi phones will come in three different colour options of Black, Light Green, and Light Blue. They are scheduled to go on sale from May 23 at 12 noon via Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home and all retail partners. ICICI bank card holders can also avail an additional instant discount of up to Rs 500 on the purchase of these devices.

As mentioned earlier Redmi A2, and Redmi A2+ have a lot in common. They both have a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD display with 1600 x 720 pixels. The screen will have a waterdrop-style notch housing a selfie camera and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The new line-up features a 120Hz touch sampling rate. The devices run on Android 13 out of the box. Under the hood, there is MediaTek Helio G36 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM (3GB virtual RAM option) and up to 64GB of storage that can be extended via microSD card to 512GB.

For the photos and videos both the phones includes a dual rear camera setup, including an 8-megapixel primary sensor along with a QVGA camera. The devices also features a 5-megapixel selfie sensor.

In addition to this, the smartphones packs a 5,000mAh with 10W fast charging support. The Redmi A2+ also come with a fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. In terms of connectivity, the Redmi smartphone also includes a Dual-SIM, 4G, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, Glonass, Galileo, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB type-C port and in-built FM radio app for entertainment.
