Redmi Note 8 gets costlier in India, price now starts at Rs 12,499

However, Xiaomi hasn’t yet changed the price of the 6GB+128GB variant of Redmi Note 8 as its cost still remains Rs 14,499

Ahead of much-awaited launch of Redmi Note 9 in India, Xiaomi has once again increased the price of its Redmi Note 8 in the country which now starts at Rs 12,499 for the 4GB+64GB variant.  Mind you! The hike of Rs 500 is already being showcased on Mi India online store. Several news reports have revealed that the price of Redmi Note 8 smartphone has also increased at retail outlets.

On the other hand, Xiaomi hasn’t yet changed the price of the 6GB+128GB variant of Redmi Note 8 as its cost still remains Rs 14,499 on Mi India online store as well as in the offline markets.

As far as design is concerned, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes with a new Aura Fluid Design, which is stylishly crafted to suit the modern Indian customer. The 2.5D reflective glass back is distinct and gives it a bold finish. With small chin and bezels and a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, Xiaomi claims the 6.3-inch Full High-Definition+ Display offers a rich visual experience.

On the camera front, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 handset comes with a quad camera setup with 48MP Ultra-high resolution sensor, 8MP Ultra-wide angle lens, 2MP Macro lens and 2MP Depth sensor. For the selfie lovers, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 comes fitted with 13MP front camera.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset. For RAM and storage, the handset comes with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. This is expandable by up to 512GB using a microSD card. This smartphone allows you to use dual SIM cards.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 offers a 4000mAh battery capacity along with 18W Type-C port Fast Charger (in-box). Moreover, the handset is equipped with super linear speakers that are designed to deliver unmatched sound quality. With auto cleaning functionality, sound is never compromised.

Meanwhile, a tweet by Redmi India has hinted that Xiaomi would soon launch the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in India. The handset has already made way in Europe this April. Mind you! The tweet by Redmi India hasn’t clearly revealed the name of the device. However, the teaser image that is in shape of a championship belt has ‘Redmi Note: The Undisputed Champion’ inscribed on it. Furthermore, the tweet says, “Fasten your seatbelts and get set for an all new BEAST from the Redmi family. Undisputed speed, undisputed performance- the Undisputed Champion is coming soon! Can you guess what we’re hinting at?”
