Today, the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G and Galaxy A33 5G made their official debut in India. The latter one was released globally last week, alongside the A53, which has recently arrived in India. The Galaxy A73 5G, on the other hand, is a new addition to the company’s popular A-Series. Both smartphones are dust and water-resistant to IP67 standards. However, the specifications of both smartphones are different. Let’s take a look at their costs and features.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G, Galaxy A33 5G price, availability
Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G will start soon in India. The pricing of the smartphone is yet to be announced however they will be available in 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage variants. Whereas the Samsung Galaxy A33 will be available in 6GB RAM with 128GB variant and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage option priced at Rs 34,499 and Rs 35,999 respectively.
As per the company, both smartphones will open for pre-booking in the coming days on Samsung.com, leading retail stores, and select online portals.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G specifications
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen comes with 800 nits peak brightness whereas Corning Gorilla Glass 5 panel also protects the display. The device operates on Android 12 with One UI 4.1 on top and the company promises up to four years of Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD card to up to 1TB. There is a RAM Plus feature, which allows virtually expanding the phone’s built-in RAM by up to 16GB by using the internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy A73 5G has a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS). The exact number of rear camera sensors is still unknown. Nevertheless, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor given on the front.
The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G houses a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy A33 5G specifications
A 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity O display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection is featured on the Samsung Galaxy A33 5G smartphone. On top of Android 12, the smartphone runs OneUI 4.1. The phone is powered by a 5nm Exynos 1280 SoC with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage. A microSD card can be used to expand the storage up to 1TB.
The A33 has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro lens on the back. The smartphone has a 13MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
With an IP67 rating, the device is dust and water-resistant. The phone also includes a 5,000mAh battery with 25W rapid charging capability. 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4G+5GHz), and Bluetooth v 5.1 are among the phone’s connectivity options. An accelerometer, a fingerprint sensor, a gyro sensor, a geomagnetic sensor, a hall sensor, a light sensor, and virtual proximity sensing are among the onboard sensors.
