Earlier this month at the Life Unstoppable event, the South Korean major unveiled a couple of products across the various categories. At the same event, the company also launched Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 along with a wearable Galaxy Fit 2, a smart projector called The Premier and a gaming monitor Odyssey G5. Now the new tab is going to make its debut in India soon as the device has now been listed on the company’s official website. As per the listing, the tablet will come in two variants Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants with model number SM-T500 and SM-T505. This means soon the Galaxy Tab A7 will be available for purchase in the country.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 support pages have now gone live on Samsung India’s website. Both the Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants carry model numbers SM-T500 and SM-T505 but no details with regard to the device’s specifications and features have been shared on the company’s website.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 comes with a 10.4-inch screen with even bezels offering 80 percent of screen-to-body ratio and 2000×1200 pixels of resolution with an all-metal finish. The Device is supported by quad Dolby Atmos speakers and is touted to bring a longer battery life. It is powered by an unnamed processor octa-core CPU running 3 cores at 2GHZ while the rest at 1.8Gh. The device will be offered with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage option which can be expanded using a microSD card.
The Tab comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera for taking selfies. The Tab A7 houses a 7,040 mAh battery and for connectivity, there is a USB-C port, 3.5 mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. In addition to this, the tablet comes pre-installed with a dedicated kids app namely Samsung Kids that offers educational and entertaining content for children.
With regard to the pricing, the reports suggest that the Galaxy Tab A7 (Wi-Fi only variant) is going to be priced at EUR 235 5 (approximately Rs 20,500) for the 32GB storage while the LTE variant is expected to be priced around EUR 293 (approximately Rs 25,600). On the other hand, the 64GB storage model of the Wi-Fi only and LTE variants is said to be priced at EUR 266 (approximately Rs 23,200) and EUR 323 (approximately Rs 28,200). The India pricing would be much similar to the European pricing.
