On September 23 the South Korean smartphone brand, Samsung, is going to host another special event to unveil its new device. Though the company did not reveal its plans for the day, it is most likely to launch Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G, which is a lite variant of the Samsung Galaxy S20. Also, the Unpacked for Every Fan hints the most rumoured Fan Edition of the S20 which has been doing the rounds for quite some time. Recently we came across some of the renders of the upcoming smartphone and was again spotted on the Company’s official website.
Moving ahead, the Unpacked for Every Fan is set to take place on September 23 that is going to be live-streamed across all its social media channels including Facebook and via Samsung’s official YouTube channel. The event will begin at 10 AM ET (7:30 pm IST). As the name suggests the event is dedicated for the Galaxy fans hinting at the introduction of Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition aka Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. While some of the reports suggest that this smartphone will be called the Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite, but we like the ring of FE.
Ahead of the official launch, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was briefly listed on the Samsung official site in the Philippines. However, the accidental listing did not confirm the specifications of the device. In addition to the official render of the device, the colour options this phone will be available in were also posted. It is said to come in two colour options Cloud Navy and Cloud Lavendar. Another publisher managed to spot the renders of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. The official renders suggest a triple rear camera setup along with a hole punch design display along with curved edges on the front. The device is also listed to arrive with 128GB of storage with dual-SIM support.
Some of the reports have suggested the Samsung Galaxy S20 Fan Edition will feature a 6.5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display. This is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC for 5G support whereas the 4G variant will have Exynos 990 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. There will be an in-display fingerprint scanner on the phone along with a triple camera setup on the back. It is expected to include dual 12-megapixel sensors and an 8-megapixel camera. While on the front is most likely to have a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It is speculated to pack a 4,500mAh battery along with a 15W fast charger. The device will be IP68 rated for waterproof and dustproof.
