Samsung has announced a new 60W Power Adapter that integrates next-generation Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology and a Programmable Power Supply (PPS), representing a substantial leap in charging solutions. This adapter is meant to reduce standby energy use significantly while also providing faster charging capabilities. Notably, it can charge the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to 75% in under 30 minutes, exhibiting its effective power delivery.
The adapter has been made to work with as many devices as possible; thus, it works with mobile phones, desktop computers, and audio earbuds, among other things. This device is ideal for both home and travel usage since it focuses on eliminating energy waste and physical clutter that comes with charging equipment. The design makes it more convenient and efficient for users.
The Samsung charger uses cutting-edge Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology instead of older silicon components to make it more power-efficient. It works more safely and at lower temperatures, which cuts down on energy loss and reduces the risk of overheating, which in turn makes the product last longer than regular chargers. The adapter uses very little energy while it’s not in use, about 0.005W, which helps save power. Users save energy without having to change the way they engage. It also has certification from Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for using 20% recycled materials.

The Samsung 60W adapter has USB Power Delivery 3.1 and Programmable Power Supply (PPS) compatibility. PPS technology provides efficient charging by providing devices with exactly the power they need, maximising speed while ensuring battery safety. It allows for real-time changes to voltage and current, which improves charging efficiency and battery life.
Additionally, this approach reduces the generation of heat, which contributes to improved battery health over time. The adapter is a flexible solution that replaces many chargers while decreasing cable clutter, making it an excellent option for travel and office settings. Notably, it can charge the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to 75% in about 30 minutes.
The smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery that can charge with 60W wired (up from 45W) and 25W wireless chargers. It also works with Qi2 technology for quicker and easier charging.
