Samsung launched Galaxy Tab Active 3 it latest rugged tablet: Specs and Availability

Today on one hand the South Korean electronics giant launched Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 in India while on the other hand, the company has announced the launch of its new ab let in the market. Yes, we are talking about another new tablet but this a rugged one namely Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 which is a new smart tablet. The device is a follow up of Tab Active 2 featuring a sleek and compact design for portability.

Announcing the launch KC Choi, EVP and Head of Global Mobile B2B Team, Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics said, “The way the world does business is rapidly changing as we move away from the office and out into the field. When developing the new Galaxy Tab Active3 we listened to feedback from our customers and partners and focused on creating a product that would make it easier to get things done. Not only is the Galaxy Tab Active3 more durable, but its performance has been upgraded to support the latest applications for maximum productivity.”

The company has just announced the launch of the tablet and is yet to declare the pricing of Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3. In terms of availability, the Tab will be limited to few select markets starting today, including but not limited to Europe and Asia, with availability expanding to other regions later on.

Galaxy Tab Active 3, a ruggedized tablet is a successor to Tab Active 2. The device is MIL-STD-810H certified to handle some of the world’s toughest jobs in the most extreme environments; its enhanced shock absorption is now able to withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters with an inbox protective cover and it is IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant, providing peace of mind when working in unpredictable outdoor environments.

The Tab features an 8-inch display with 1,920×1,200 pixels of resolution. Under the hood, there is Exynos 9810 processor paired with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage with Wi-Fi and LTE support Tab Active3 comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The camera is optimised for camera-based barcode scanning to help retailers easily manage inventory and scan products for purchase and supports NFC with EMV Level 1 for payment too.

The Samsung Tablet packs a 5050mAh battery with fast charging through USB and POGO pins. In addition to this, the tab also supports “No Battery Mode” for power without a battery. Samsung Dex is now available on the Tab Active 3, ensuring dual-screen functionality so tasks can be picked up from anywhere, whether in the office or in the field. In addition to this, the tab is paired with S-Pen which is IP68 certified for water and dust resistant.
