Samsung has launched a new T7 Shield Portable SSD with 4TB storage capacity in India, with prices starting at Rs 30,000. Designed for professional creators and outdoor users, the T7 Shield SSD is up to 9.5 times faster than an average external hard disk drive. The portable SSD weighs just 98 grams and can easily be carried around in a pocket.

Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD 4TB: Key specifications
The 4TB Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD weighs 98 grams and has dimensions of 88mm x 59mm x 13mm, which makes it as compact as a credit card. The SSD is powered by USB 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) and embedded PCI NVMe Technology. The portable external storage offers a sequential read speed of 1,050 MB/s and a sequential write speed of 1,000 MB/s.
As mentioned earlier, the Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD is up to 9.5 faster than external hard disk drives. For a 4K video up to 4.8GB, the download time from a laptop is reduced to 8.0 seconds. For an FHD 3GB video, this duration drops to 4.4 seconds. This 4TB PSSD is also suitable for recording HD video content. A 12K resolution video takes only 22 minutes to transfer from the source to another device.
The Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and cameras, making it an ideal portable device. The PSSD is rated IP65 for dust and water resistance. It is shock resistant from drops of up to three metres. Consumers also get a 3-year warranty with the purchase of the T7 Shield PSSD.
The 4TB Samsung T7 Shield PSSD is available at all Samsung retail stores, major online platforms, offline retail stores, and Samsung’s official online store. Samsung has priced the 4TB T7 Shield Portable SSD between the range of Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000.
