The company recently rolled out menstrual cycle tracking based on skin temperature sensors for both Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The devices can get even more detailed information to manage users’ menstrual cycles and overall health. This feature is currently accessible in 32 nations, including 30 different European regions, the US, and Korea.

As per the company, basal body temperature (BBT) varies by menstrual phase. So one needs to measure BBT immediately after waking and prior to any physical activity or impact from surroundings. The new feature on the smartwatch will now automate this procedure for the user’s convenience so that the user doesn’t forget to measure the BBT first thing in the morning to get accurate BBT readings. Natural Cycle is integrated with Samsung’s sensor tech and will monitor variations in skin temperature during sleep right from the wrist.
