With the growing popularity of Chat GPT, Snap Inc. has brought its own AI chatbot for its popular social media platform Snapchat. This is an experimental chatbot feature called My AI which has been introduced for Snapchatter and uses OpenAI’s GPT technology. According to the company, this feature will be exclusively made available for premium subscribers that are for Snapchat+.
The company via its blog post announced the introduction of My AI to Snapchat, “Today we’re launching My AI, a new chatbot running the latest version of OpenAI’s GPT technology that we’ve customised for Snapchat. My AI is available as an experimental feature for Snapchat+ subscribers, rolling out this week.”

According to the company, Snapchat My AI will be suggesting birthday gift ideas for your BFF. Would also let you plan a weekend hiking trip, plus suggest a recipe for dinner, or even help you with writing a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed pal. In addition to this, Snapchatters are also allowed to give My AI a name and customise its chat wallpaper.
“As with all AI-powered chatbots, My AI is prone to hallucination and can be tricked into saying just about anything. Please be aware of its many deficiencies and sorry in advance,” it noted.
The company revealed that all conversations you have with My AI will be stored and may be reviewed to improve the product experience. “Please do not share any secrets with My AI and do not rely on it for advice,” Snap suggested.

While My AI is designed to avoid biased, incorrect, harmful, or misleading information. It is said that errors may nevertheless happen. One can provide feedback by pressing and holding any message from My AI. This is said to help the firm improve the overall experience of its latest version of OpenAI’s GPT technology.
The Snapchat My AI is likely to launch this week. The company will begin rolling out it to Snapchat+ subscribers only which could be released to all Snapchatters at a later stage.
