Sony India has turned up the volume on its ULT POWER SOUND series with a fresh 2025 lineup that aims to bring live-performance energy into living rooms, backyards, and even beaches. The new range includes the ULT TOWER 9, ULT TOWER 9AC, ULT FIELD 5, ULT FIELD 3, and ULTMIC1 wireless microphone, all featuring the signature ULT button for punchy, customisable bass. The launch also marks Sony’s collaboration with music star Karan Aujla as the audio brand ambassador, a move aimed at connecting with younger listeners.

ULT TOWER 9 and ULT TOWER 9AC: Party, amplified

The ULT TOWER models are designed for full-room impact with ULT POWER SOUND, selectable bass modes (ULT1 and ULT2), and immersive 360° Party Sound with matching lights. Whether you want karaoke, guitar jamming, or a TV sound upgrade, these towers adapt with ease.

  • ULT TOWER 9: Up to 25 hours battery life plus quick charging for off-grid parties.

  • ULT TOWER 9AC: Same performance but plug-and-play for all-day celebrations.

Both include portability features like built-in handles and casters, water-resistant panels, and even a power bank function. They can link with up to 100 compatible speakers via Party Connect.

ULT FIELD 5: Rugged sound on the go

The ULT FIELD 5 brings deep bass in a tough, travel-ready body. With up to 25 hours of playtime, a multi-way strap, and IP67-rated resistance to water, dust, shock, and even saltwater, it is built for the outdoors. The 10 Band Custom Equaliser fine-tunes the output, while Sound Field Optimisation ensures clarity even in noisy surroundings. Like the towers, it supports Party Connect for massive multi-speaker setups.

ULT FIELD 3: Compact power

Slightly smaller but still packing ULT POWER SOUND, the ULT FIELD 3 offers 24 hours of battery life and the same IP67 ruggedness. Multi-device connection makes it easy to switch between two sources, and the Sony Sound Connect app puts customisation at your fingertips.

ULTMIC1: Spotlight on your voice

For karaoke lovers and performers, the ULTMIC1 wireless microphone delivers clear, balanced vocals with Duet Assist to automatically adjust volume in dual performances. It works instantly via Plug and Play with compatible speakers and runs up to 20 hours on a single charge.

Sony’s second-gen ULT range shows the brand is pushing harder into the high-bass, party-speaker space where competition from JBL, Bose, and others is already fierce. With rugged portables and feature-packed towers, Sony is clearly betting on flexibility and lifestyle appeal to keep the music playing in 2025.
