The Japanese electronics major Sony today announced the launch of its first true wireless earphones in India. The Sony WF-SP800N and WF-XB700 made its debut in the country. These come with an Extra Bas feature along with longer battery life with quick charge function and IPX4 and IP55 ratings for water dust and sweat resistance. The Sony TWS earphones also come with Voice Assistant features for quick access to music as well as hands-free calling.

The Sony WF-SP800N true wireless earphones have been introduced with a price tag of Rs 18,990 in India. These earbuds come with premium features and noise cancellation functionality that is obviously going to give a tough competition to Apple Airpods and Samsung Galaxy Buds+. The wireless earphones will be offered in three colour options Black, Blue and White.
Whereas the much affordable Sony WF-XB700 true wireless earphones have been released at Rs 9,990. The earphone has been introduced in two colour options Black and Blue. Both the TWS earphones are now up for sale in the country across Sony retail stores (Sony Center and Sony Exclusive), www.ShopatSC.com portal, major electronic stores and other e-commerce websites in India.

Starting with the premium Sony WF-SP800N true wireless earphones, the earphones come with, punchy low-end sound to offer clear audio. WF-SP800N can be connected to your device using the Sony Headphones Connect App for the customised sound experience. Both the audio devices come with long-lasting battery life. WF-XB700 can last up to 9 hours and a combined total battery backup of 18 hours with the charging case. Whereas WF-SP800N comes with 18 hours of music playback with noise-canceling switched on and up to 26 hours when turned off. As both the headphones have a quick charge facility when charged for 10 minutes can deliver a music playback of up to 60 minutes. The Sony WF-XB700 and WF-SP800N boast of an IPX4 and IP55 rating respectively for water and dust resistance. So you don’t need to worry about water, sweat and dirt while you work out in the rain or on the treadmill. Interestingly one can also wash WF-SP800N headphones.
For a more hands-free experience, you can also enable Alexa (available in WF-SP800N), and Google Assistant to access music, set notifications, reminders, or can even take a call as it comes with a built-in microphone. The headphones deliver extremely clear voice quality for hands-free calling and you can take calls using either, or both, of the earbuds. This allows you to alternate their recharging or hear calls more clearly in a noisy environment.
The Sony WF-XB700 has been provided with prominent buttons to stop, skip and adjust the volume. Whereas WF-SP800N comes with touch controls that allow the user to play, stop or skip through music and adjust the volume by simply placing a finger on the right earbud and then turn down the music by placing a finger on the left earbud.
The WF-SP800N is powered with Adaptive Sound Control, which lets you automatically adjust ambient sound settings to suit the current environment for the ultimate listening experience. The Quick attention functionality provided on the earbuds enables you to instantly turn the volume down and lets in ambient sound, so users can chat without needing to remove the earbuds. As there is a wearing detection feature so the music pauses automatically when they are taken out and resume when they are put inside the ears.
Both the Sony TWS earbuds come with a small charging case to protect them as well as to power them. Due to the magnetic strip inside the case, it is easy to put your truly wireless headphones back into the charging case and they will nestle into place with a satisfying snap. Also, you can connect it to your smartphone with the help of Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
