The Chinese tech firm Tecno is all set to launch a new smartphone in India. The company has announced that Tecno Pop 8 will launch in the country in the first week of January. The exact date of the launch has also been confirmed after the device was announced globally. Besides announcing the launch date the company has also teased the key details of the smartphone. The handset has also been listed on Amazon to tease its availability.
Tecno Pop 8 is scheduled to launch in India on January 3. The smartphone was recently released globally. Ahead of the official launch, the company has also listed the phone on the e-commerce platform Amazon. The dedicated microsite teased the specs of the smartphone and can also press the Notify Me button to get notified about updates. Apart from disclosing the launch date, the company has also revealed the phone’s design and colour options. Tecno has also revealed more about the display specs, storage options and AnTuTu score.
As per the listing the Tecno Pop 8 has received an AnTuTu score of 240K. The upcoming phone will also feature a lightning-fast 8GB (4GB+4GB) RAM that is claimed to be the fastest in its segment and 64GB storage. As per the firm the device can handle “multiple apps like a pro without a hint of lag.”
In addition to this Tecno Pop 8 will come with a 90Hz Dot-In Display. It is said to offer a Dynamic Port that will display notifications and other information.
The company has teased the phone in two colour options: Gravity Black and Mystery White.
Tecno Pop 8 Specifications
The global variant of Tecno Pop 8 features a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD screen with 720 x 1,612 pixels of resolution. It runs on Android T-Go and under its hood there is an octa-core Unisoc T606 SoC.
The device comes with a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel sensor. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery.
