The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched another Y-Series smartphone in India. Vivo Y36 is the latest addition to the mid-range segment. The device is powered by Snapdragon 680 SoC and runs on Android 13. The phone comes with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel primary sensor. In addition to this, the smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging.

Vivo Y36 price in India has been set at Rs 16,999 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage model. The device comes in two colour options of Meteor Black and Vibrant Gold. It is currently up for sale on Vivo India’s E-store, Flipkart, and all partner retail stores.

The launch offer includes flat Rs 1,500 cashback on transactions made via EMI transactions and HDFC bank debit cards on Flipkart. In addition to this buyers can also get Rs 500 off of EMI transactions and purchases made using SBI cards.

Vivo Y36 specifications

Vivo Y36 features a 2.5D curved glass body. It comes with a 6.64-inch full-HD+ LCD display with 1,080×2,388 pixels of resolution. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 6nm Snapdragon 680 SoC with 8GB of RAM and includes 128GB of storage that can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. It comes with an extended RAM 3.0 feature that offers an additional 8GB RAM to the smartphone, allowing more than 25 apps to be kept active in the background, making app switching faster and smoother. The smartphone runs on FunTouch OS 13 based on Android 13

The Vivo Y36 also includes a dual rear camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel bokeh lens. There is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies and video calling. Further, it comes with a host of smart camera features such as Super Night mode, Multi Style Portrait, and Bokeh Flare Portrait along with others. The vivo Y36 also comes with an ultra-wide film format called cinematic aspect ratio, which allows users to shoot and capture movie-like videos.

The Vivo phone boasts a 5,000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging. In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. The sensors on the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor, a proximity sensor, an e-compass, and a gyroscope.
