WhatsApp is working on a feature called Passkey that would enable end-to-end encrypted backups in place of complicated passwords or biometric security measures. Through the Google Play Beta Program, WhatsApp is releasing the feature in a new update that will be accessible in a later release, updating the version to 2.24.18.13. Passkeys can be used by users to encrypt chat backups thanks to this privacy feature, which was added last year. The most recent Android 2.24.18.13 beta version of WhatsApp is now being developed and may be downloaded from the Google Play Store. A future release will include a passkey capability for end-to-end encrypted backups. This feature is currently under development.
