WhatsApp has begun testing a filter that allows you to rapidly view all of your unread messages. The unread chats filter is now only available to WhatsApp Desktop beta testers. According to a report, the new chat filter is currently accessible on the desktop version as well as WhatsApp for Android and iOS in the future.
WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2221.0 has incorporated the unread chats filter, according to WABetaInfo. On WhatsApp Desktop beta, the firm has released a new chat filter that allows users to filter their chats by showing only those that have fresh incoming messages.
A chat filter tool is already available for businesses, but WhatsApp is aiming to make it open to everyone. WhatsApp is now providing a chat filter to users of the beta version of the Desktop client. As you can see in the screenshot shared, To turn off the filter, simply press the filter button again or select “Clear filter.”

It is not confirmed if WhatsApp plans to make more conversation filters available to everyone in the future. In the future, WhatsApp is working on adding the same capability to the WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS. The new unread chat filter is available today, so if you need it right now, utilise the beta version of the Desktop programme.
After adding the option to reply to messages as a new messaging feature, WhatsApp is working on allowing users to edit their text messages in a future edition. WhatsApp has begun testing the ability for users to change their text messages in chats, according to WABetaInfo. It would appear alongside the current Info and Copy options that appear when you long-press a text message in the app.
WABetaInfo has shared a few screenshots that show how the WhatsApp edit option might work. There will almost certainly be no edit history to review previous versions of edited messages, but as this feature is still in development, their plans could alter before it is launched. Furthermore, the time range within which users will be allowed to alter their messages is uncertain at this moment, but once beta testing is completed, it may be made available to the wider public.
