Xiaomi has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to produce audio products in India

The company aims 50% increase in Xiaomi’s domestic value addition by 2025.

Xiaomi India will now manufacture audio devices in India for that it has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to strengthen its ‘Make in India’ journey. The company claims that this partnership is the first step in a bigger AIoT strategy that will start with the localization of wireless audio products.

Muralikrishnan B, President, of Xiaomi India said, “This partnership with Optiemus Electronics Limited marks a major milestone in our efforts to accelerate our localization of products and components to bring out high-quality devices that will be ‘Made in India,’ at honest pricing. We are committed to forging more such collaborations for a wider range of categories, across our product line-up.”

As a result of this collaboration, Xiaomi has started producing its first audio product in Noida at the OEL facility. Additionally, Xiaomi has strengthened its commitment to India by growing operations and forming manufacturing alliances with domestic leaders in the sector, all while promoting economic growth and creating job opportunities. Over the next two years, the company wants to bring 50% more domestic value to the smartphone market.

The collaboration highlights Xiaomi’s commitment to creating top-notch goods, aiding in the expansion of domestic manufacturing in India and supporting its initiatives to democratise technology for the masses. With a focus on bringing innovation to life for everyone, Xiaomi India hopes to further strengthen its position as a major player in the Indian electronics market by bringing the latest technology at fair prices to the Indian market.
