The Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi today launched its flagship series Mi 10. Under the top-notch smartphone series, the company introduced two devices namely Mi 10 as well as Mi 10 Pro. The key highlights of the smartphone include a quad-camera set up with 108-megapixel primary shooter and it comes with the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. As the newly launched mobile phone is a photography centric device and comes with a 108-megapixel sensor it is going to take on the newly launched Samsung S20 ultra.

Mi 10 series pricing and availability

Xiaomi launched two devices under its new Mi 10 series that includes Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Starting with Mi 10, the company offers it in three variants, 8GB + 128G variant comes at CNY 3,999 that translates to Rs 40,000, the 8GB + 256GB option is priced at CNY 4,299 that translates to Rs 43,000 whereas the high-end variant that is 12GB + 256GB model carries a price tag of CNY 4,699 that translates to Rs 47,000. All the three variants will be available in three colour options Titanium Silver Black, Peach Gold and Ice Blue colour. 

Mi 10 Pro, which is the top-notch model of the series, also comes in three variants. The  8GB + 256GB variant can be bought at CNY 4,999 that translates to Rs 50,000, the 12GB + 256GB version will be available at CNY 5,499  that translates to Rs 55,000, finally the 12GB + 512GB model can be purchased at CNY 5,999, that translates to Rs 60,000. The device comes in two colour options Pearl White and Starry blue.

The company has started taking the pre-orders of both the handsets. The Mi 10 will go on sale from February 14 while Mi 10 Pro will start selling from February 18.

Xiaomi Mi 10 specifications

Mi 10 features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels of resolutions along with a hole punch consisting of a camera and in-display fingerprint sensor. The device runs on  MIUI 11, based on Android 10. It is powered by the latest octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It comes with a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired as well as wireless charging and it also supports 10W reverse wireless charging.

In terms of camera, Mi 10 sports a quad rear camera setup that includes a 108-megapixel Samsung’s l ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor and a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view. Further assisted by twin 2-megapixel camera sensor. On the front, it consists of a 20-megapixel front camera for taking selfies and video calls.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro specifications

Mi 10 Pro runs come with the same screen size as of Mi 10 supported by DC Dimming and DCI-P3 colour gamut. It has the same operating system as well as the processor but with up to 12GB and up to 512GB of internal storage. It houses a 4,500mAh battery supported by 50W wired fast charging, 30W wireless fast charging and 10W reverse wireless charging another option.

The Mi 10 Pro features a quad rear camera set up that consists of a 108-megapixel l ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor by Samsung along with a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 117-degrees field of view. The set up is aided by the 12-megapixel camera sensor and 8-megapixel telephoto lens. It supports 8K video recording. While on the front there is a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
