Xiaomi is set to host a virtual event on August 11 to celebrate its 10th Anniversary. At the event, we are going to see a slew of its products to be introduced for the first time. The event is confirmed as the company’s Vice President, Lu Weibing announced it via sharing a post on Weibo. The company will be showcasing its new products along with the rumoured Mi 10 Pro Plus but now confirmed Mi 10 Ultra.
To commemorate the Xioami’s 10th anniversary the company has announced a virtual event for August 11 that is going to be kicked off at 7:30 PM local time and 5 PM IST. During the event, the company is speculated to introduce a new variant to its popular Mi 10 series. According to the rumours, the name of the device is suggested to be known as Mi 10 Pro Plus. But in a new development setting all the speculations aside Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lei Jun has confirmed that this device will be called the Mi 10 Ultra in the global market.
Recently the device’s cases were also leaked online along with detailed banner images revealing a transparent back cover option also. It is tipped to come in a 16GB of RAM and offer 120x zoom. Jun took to Weibo to confirm the name of the device. In addition to this, he has also shared the images of the retail box of the device having the Xiaomi 10th anniversary logo.
Separately another Weibo post suggested that the Mi 10 Ultra will be available in a ceramic and transparent back panel. Apart from that the ceramic colour option of the handset is also tipped to come in two variants of 8GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB of RAM with 256GB storage option. While the one with a transparent back is to be available in 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 16GB RAM with 256GB of internal storage option.

An Indian tipster Bhuvesh Bagri has also shared the official cases for Xiaomi’s upcoming device which revealed the drawn-out rectangular shaped camera module on the rear top left corner. The tipster has also shared the poster of the Mi 10 Ultra showcasing a transparent and a ceramic finish. The poster images revealed that there will be a quad rear camera set up with the main periscope sensor having 120x zoom support.
While the leaks suggest that the phone is going to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and is also expected to have a high refresh rate panel. The Chipset has now been confirmed by the latest AnTuTu listing.
