The price of Poco X7 begins at Rs 21,999 for the 8Gb RAM with 128GB storage option. Whereas the price of the 256GB model is set at Rs 23,999. The handset will be offered in three colourways: Poco Yellow, Glacier Green and Cosmic Silver. It will go on sale on February 14 via Flipkart.

Apple has denied using the Siri voice assistant for marketing, advertising, or selling to third parties. The company insists that Siri processes data on the device to preserve consumer privacy. Users have control over their audio data and can choose whether or not to share it for improvement. Following concerns about data sharing with third parties, Apple has said that it is committed to keeping Siri private.

The tech giant has released a statement which says, “Apple has never used Siri data to build marketing profiles, never made it available for advertising, and never sold it to anyone for any purpose. We are constantly developing technologies to make Siri even more private, and will continue to do so.”

According to the company, it is dedicated to protecting user data through innovative privacy technologies and techniques. Privacy is a core part of Apple’s design process, focusing on data minimisation, on-device intelligence, transparency, control, and strong security protections.

Siri is stated to be designed to handle user requests on the user’s device, protecting privacy and enabling personalized experiences without sending personal information to Apple servers. When a user speaks or types to Siri, the device processes the request wherever possible, such as reading unread messages or making suggestions via widgets and Siri search. Furthermore, the contents of messages are not sent to Apple servers, and audio of user requests is processed exclusively on the device using the Neural Engine unless the user decides to share it with Apple.

Apple disclosed that it cut the amount of data gathered for Siri requests, with the goal of minimising the amount of data utilised for real-time input from Apple servers. Siri searches and requests are not linked to users’ Apple Accounts but instead employ a random identifier associated with a single device. The new method enables improved data tracking without linking it to a user’s identity. Apple does not keep audio recordings of Siri interactions unless users explicitly opt-in to help develop Siri, and these recordings are only used for that purpose. Users may opt-out at any time.

“With the capabilities provided by Apple Intelligence, we are at the start of a new era for Siri, giving users the ability to get things done effortlessly with built-in intelligence features that make Siri more capable, personal, and helpful every day,” the blog post said.

This feature was first announced in December and is now being rolled out in a phased manner.

The option to share files using QR codes is a game-changer for Quick Share. Here’s why we prefer it.

Seamless process: While using a QR code to share files, you don’t need to manually add the destination device. This means the receiver does not have to change their phone’s visibility settings, as the onus lies on them to scan the QR code.

Share with multiple devices: Once the QR code has been created, multiple devices can scan it to receive the files. This saves the user a lot of time. Instead of manually scanning for devices, the recipients can quickly scan the code to access the files.

Bounce, Grab, and Stage 301 are smart Bluetooth speakers with AI features for an enhanced listening experience that are part of the “xboom by will.i.am” brand. AI Sound is automatically adjusted by the speakers according to the content, enhancing voice, rhythm, or melody. The AI Lighting feature keeps bar lights in sync for ambiance.

The 24GB + 1TB variant fetches Rs 89,999. OnePlus’ flagship smartphone is powered by the newest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Its 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The rear camera panel houses 3 50MP sensors for the primary shooter, 3x telephoto, and ultrawide lenses. The 6,000mAh Si/C battery pack supports 100W charging.

The second smartphone in the series is the flagship alternative OnePlus 13R. Priced at Rs 42,999, the OnePlus 13R flaunts a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED and last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. It follows the design language of the flagship OnePlus 13. The smartphone’s rear camera is composed of a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens. It packs a 6,000 Si/C battery and supports 80W charging.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung will launch its flagship Galaxy S25 Series at its Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. Apart from the 3 expected models in the series – Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, Samsung is rumoured to launch a new 4th variant called Galaxy S25 Slim. In India, the base model will likely stick with Samsung’s in-house Exynos processor. Meanwhile, the top-spec Ultra variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

The Ultra variant will also undergo some design changes. The smartphone will have a slimmer profile. Its 8.4mm thickness will make it the slimmest Ultra model yet. On top of that, the smartphone’s frame will have rounded corners as opposed to the sharp ones on the S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s rear camera array will comprise a 200MP primary shooter, a 50MP telephoto lens, a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, and another 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

Poco X7 Series

The upcoming midrange X7 smartphones from Poco will launch in India on January 9, 2025. The two models will likely share the same display. They are expected to get a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 3,000 nits of peak brightness. The two models will be rated IP69 for dust and water resistance. Poco X7 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chipset while the Pro model will pack the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra SoC under its hood.

The Pro model in the Poco X7 series will feature a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor for the primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 20MP front-facing camera will be housed inside a punch-hole cutout. The base variant will likely share the primary shooter with the Pro model. Poco X7 will be priced under Rs 20,000 while the X7 Pro is expected to fetch between Rs 25,000 – Rs 30,000.

Oppo Reno13 Series

After launching its flagship smartphone at the tail end of 2024, Oppo will turn its attention to its midrange offerings this month. The Oppo Reno13 Series will launch globally on January 9, 2025. It will comprise a base variant and a Pro model. The base variant will be available in 4 RAM (LPDDR5X) + Storage (UFS 3.1) options – 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB. There will be 2 colour options on offer – Ivory White and Luminous Blue. The smartphone will flaunt a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The rear camera module of the Reno13 will comprise a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.

Meanwhile, the Oppo Reno13 Pro will be available in 2 RAM + Storage configurations – 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. Its 6.83-inch AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and can hit 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode. The smartphone will feature a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Both models will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 SoC and will come with IP69 protection.

Realme 14 Pro Series

The Realme 14 Pro Series is set to go on sale on January 16, 2025. The midrange series will comprise 2 smartphones – Realme 14 Pro and Realme 14 Pro+. Both smartphones will feature colour-changing back panels. There will also be a Suede Gray vegan leather back option on offer. The company will also launch 2 India-exclusive colour options – Jaipur Pink and Bikaner Purple. The smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipsets.

The Pro+ variant will flaunt a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its rear camera array will feature a 50MP primary shooter, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens. This camera module will be further enhanced by Realme’s MagicGlow Triple Flash system.

OnePlus has kicked off 2025 in style with the launch of its new flagship smartphone. OnePlus 13 flaunts a new design and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is Qualcomm’s flagship processor for 2025. Accompanying the OnePlus 13 is the affordable flagship alternative, the OnePlus 13R, which packs last year’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under its hood.

The new OnePlus 13 has a massive 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display which can reach a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. In High Brightness Mode, this display can hit 1,600 nits. KRAFTON and NVIDIA collaborated to unveil an agentic framework at CES 2025, which combines development expertise with AI technology.
