Samsung introduced a new payment option known as the Galaxy Forever plan. This plan has a 24-month lifespan and is only available for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s monthly equated monthly installment (EMI) has been slashed by Rs. 2,420, from Rs. 9,417 to Rs. 6,997, which makes this payment plan rather affordable. The EMI on Galaxy Z Fold 8 has also been reduced from Rs. 8,584 to Rs. 6,416. Under this financing scheme, users will be paying 60% of the price of the device via these monthly payments, which also includes the program fee. At the end of the two years the remaining 40% of the cost of the phone has to be paid in a bullet payment.
Galaxy Forever participants may choose from many alternatives for their smartphones after their employment ends. They may either hand in their phone to upgrade to a newer Galaxy model, pay 40% of the device’s worth to keep it or leave the program entirely. There are early return and upgrade options available with certain buyback prices which vary according on the device’s use time. The numbers are as follows: 55% of the device’s worth for returns after 10-11 months, 50% after 12-13 months, 45% after 14-18 months, and 40% after 19-25 months. The Galaxy Forever program is also supported by Samsung Care+ which gives coverage for accidental and liquid damage with no claim processing cost.
