Design and Display
The last two or three phones from the budget series that we have unboxed have an expensive look. They are under Rs 15-20K, in the budget series. The Hot 60i is no different.
Best part, it has a 5-year TUV fluency certification, and it worked well when we used it.
To talk about the box contents. The packaging contains a warranty card and documentation. Additionally, a hard shell case is included. Next are a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable and an 18W charger. Qualcomm has a licence for it as well. The box also conceals a SIM ejection tool.
Moving on to the phone.
Given that it costs less than Rs 10,000, the smartphone doesn’t appear ordinary at first sight. We thought its design was quite high-end.
Additionally, although it looks great, its pill-shaped design was influenced by Pixel phones. Users can pick from four distinct hues. The one we have is blue, which seems inspired by the day sky. Additionally, there is a shade of plum red that is quite appealing, too.
The smartphone is really flashy. It has a matte surface on the back that seems high-end, while the sides are sparkly. Besides, fingerprints are not drawn to it. At the bottom is the Infinix logo. For the design in this price range, we believe it receives the highest possible rating.
It features a plastic frame and flat sides. Even though the back is made of plastic, it mimics glass.

Infinix Hot 60i weighs less than 200g, even with a 6,000 mAh battery. It is therefore about 198g. Fortunately, it doesn’t feel very heavy given the battery capacity.
In our opinion, it will seem a bit large and hefty for small hands, but it suits regular to large hands wonderfully.
Speaking of ports and buttons, the bottom has a USB Type-C connector. On the left is a SIM card slot, and on the bottom is a 3.5 mm port. A volume rocker is on the left, and a top-firing speaker is at the top. Additionally, the device features a button that serves as both a power switch and a fingerprint sensor. A triple card slot is present in the SIM card tray. Thus, two SIM cards and one SD card may be used.
Since the base model has 128GB of storage, there shouldn’t be any issues. Additionally, there is an IR blaster located in the camera module. Alone, it looks good! But it also looks good with the case. Well done, Infinix.
Smooth, outdoor-friendly images are guaranteed by the device’s 6.75-inch HD+ display, which has a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of 670 nits. Panda Glass protects the screen to increase longevity.
A waterdrop notch is there, which seems slightly dated, but most in the price segment are getting it. Regarding the bezels, they are of a decent size. Chin is a little over average, but workable. The viewing angles are also acceptable. Despite being a high-quality HD Plus LCD panel, it appears good from all sides. Its brightness is 670 nits, which is decent for outdoor use. For indoor use, it is completely unproblematic. It also supports Widevine L1 even though it has an HD Plus screen. Overall, it’s a decent display for the price, and the touch responsiveness is very nice.
IP64 water and dust resistance strengthens durability, which is wonderful!
As for the loudness, the speaker is better than the ones on other smartphones nowadays and brilliant enough.
Performance and Cameras
Infinix Hot 60i is equipped with a Mali-M57 MC2 GPU and a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. If we talk about RAM and ROM, the 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage are available. Additionally, it features a 2TB extendable eMMC 5.1 storage type. It has an AnTuTu score of 402590. Even with 4GB and 128GB of RAM, there is that fluidity. We were not anticipating it since under Rs 10K, you’re experiencing lag and micro stutters. Yes, you may play casual games on it. In addition, you may play BGMI at 40 frames per second. This device is powered by XOS 15, a skin over Android 15. Overall, the operating system is neat and organised. However, it contains short apps and hot games, which are uninstallable. However, Snapchat and other applications may be uninstalled. Regarding OS upgrades, the brand has not disclosed the number of updates it plans to provide. Some AI features are present. The phones that cost between Rs 15k and 22K have a few AI functions. However, this phone has a lot of them. As a result, they are introducing these AI functions, which is excellent. It is also compatible with Bluetooth 5.4, has dual-band Wi-Fi, and supports various 5G bands. The Ultra Link technology, which makes the “No Network Call” feature possible, is one of its unique features. In locations without connectivity, including concerts, basements, or higher altitudes, this enables users to communicate. You may use Bluetooth to connect your Infinix phone regardless of the lack of a network. The Infinix Hot 60 has face unlock with the fingerprint sensor on the side. They all function really well. Let’s move on to the camera and additional features. The 50MP rear camera on the Infinix Hot 60i 5G has an LED light and can capture 2K video at 30 frames per second. Under typical circumstances, you’ll get nice pictures. You may use the 50MP main sensor to take 1X and 2X pictures. We found that some of the pictures are oversharpened.
Further, the colours are pleasing and seem natural. In several instances, the pictures seem brilliant and a little too saturated. The dynamic range is sufficient considering the camera’s resolution.
Both a macro lens and an ultra-wide camera are absent from this phone. But we did try a few close-ups, and they worked out nicely. In this price range, images seem decent, and in ideal lighting, the colours are vibrant and realistic.
The photos in low light were also shockingly decent. We didn’t think they would be as amazing, especially at the price. Perfect photos may be achieved with a high level of detail and little noise.
Regarding the selfie camera, the images looked natural overall, with details and skin tone that were accurate. Additionally, the Infinix Hot 11S has perfect dynamic range and sharpness. For selfies, there is a portrait mode that performs admirably but lacks flawless edge detection.
Considering the features, it provides wide selfie, vlog, portrait, and AI cam modes.
The front and rear footage is in 2K at 30 frames per second.
You can record 2K videos with it, but it only has a 5MP selfie sensor. This, in our opinion, is excellent.
Brands offering a 6,000mAh battery in this price range are quite rare. Nevertheless, it takes almost two hours for the 18W charger to fully charge the phone. However, you may easily receive backup for one to one and a half days once it has been charged.
Infinix Hot 60 can withstand 1,600 charge cycles, or more than 4 years of reliable use. Along with reverse wired charging, which enables users to power accessories or other devices while on the road, the package includes an 18W Type-C fast charger.
Verdict
There is a 3.5mm jack, which we quite liked. FM radio is a feature on it, too. Also, it is compatible with Widevine L1. Apart from that, overall design matters, and it excels in this segment. The rapid refresh rate of 120 Hz is a boon, too. Overall, it is a pretty solid performer. It’s excellent in terms of features, AI, and OS as well. Also, there is an additional SD card slot for storage, and Infinix has included reverse charging functionality in this.
