Samsung plans to debut the Galaxy S26 series, which will include the standard Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, globally in February 2026, including in India. According to reports, the series might be priced more because of rising component costs, notably memory sticks, which are in limited supply. While the company has not independently verified any information, it is possible that the Galaxy S26 may use the Exynos 2600 SoC and include triple rear cameras. Additionally, the phones are expected to be available for purchase around a month following their official release.According to The Bell, Samsung’s Mobile Experience (MX) unit is struggling to reduce production costs as component prices rise and competition heats up. This situation has forced the corporation to devote additional resources to marketing and labour, complicating the determination of “reasonable sales prices” for upcoming products. As a result, the prices for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra models may be significantly higher than those of their predecessors, the Galaxy S25 lineup. Also Read:Redmi 15C 5G Review: The budget phablet that never diesPreviously, ETNews stated that the S26 Series will cost more than this year’s Galaxy S25 series. Rising pricing of key phone components has been suggested to be the cause for the anticipated price increase. As the prices of these essential parts have grown at the same time, so have the entire production costs for phones. As a result, Samsung looks to be planning to boost the pricing of the Galaxy S26 lineup—which is expected to comprise the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra—to preserve good profit margins.Samsung expects to have its Galaxy Unpacked debut event on February 25, 2024, in San Francisco, California. This is the company’s first launch event in San Francisco in three years, with the last taking place in 2023. Samsung has shifted its launch date from late January or early February. Also Read:Samsung and SK are planning to begin mass manufacturing of new AI memory chip HBM4 chips in FebruaryGalaxy S25 Ultra was launched with the following pricing: 12GB RAM and 1TB storage at Rs 165,999, 12GB RAM and 512GB storage at Rs 141,999, and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at Rs 129,999. The Galaxy S25+ debuted with prices of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage at Rs 111,999 and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at Rs 99,999. The Galaxy S25 was priced at 12GB RAM and 512GB storage at Rs 92,999, and 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at Rs 80,999.

Redmi 15C 5G is Xiaomi’s latest budget-friendly smartphone, recently launched in India. It is positioned as an ideal choice for students or anyone looking for an affordable device for their parents, with essential AI features, a larger display suitable for media consumption, and impressive battery life. If you’re interested, you’ve come to the right place. This device was brought to us for review, and it has been our main device for over a week now. Here is our Redmi 15C 5G review for you.
Design and Display
The Redmi 15C 5G prioritises a huge display and durability with a sleek design that differs from the previous generation’s round camera. It has a “Floating Crater Deco” camera module that provides stability with minimum wobble.Furthermore, the slightly raised square camera module at the back has rounded corners to prevent snagging when inserting it into a pocket. The quad-curved back design improves grip and has a textured or glossy finish that creates luminescent effects. The phone is available in Moonlight Blue, Midnight Black, and Dusk Purple. For review, we have the blue -coloured variant. The blue variant features a glittering sand-like finish, and the back design changes depending on where the light hits. The rear is made of glossy polycarbonate, which resembles glass but feels like plastic and easily attracts fingerprints. The flat side rails also enhance grip during gaming or watching videos, providing greater control. With a width of over 80 mm, it is difficult to use with one hand and requires an extended reach to access the screen’s upper corners. Weighing 211 g, its substantial heft is tempered by a quad-curved back design that enhances comfort. The right side has a power button with an embedded fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone, as well as a volume rocker above it. The left side features a triple-slot tray (dual Nano-SIM and a dedicated microSD card slot for up to 1TB). The bottom has a 3.5mm headphone port and an IR blaster for remote control features. Additionally, the device features a USB Type-C port for charging (33W) and data transfer, a main microphone located to the left of the port, and a mono speaker grill on the right. The polycarbonate buttons produce a firm, clicking sound, while the capacitive fingerprint sensor allows unlocking the phone with a single touch. Also Read:Lava Agni 4 Review: This midrange phone breathes fire! The IP64 rating means that the device is completely dust- and splash-proof, but it is not waterproof. Wet Touch Technology 2.0 makes sure that the screen responds even when your fingers are wet or greasy. The display has a Mohs level 6 scratch resistance certification, which ensures excellent protection against common objects such as keys and coins. The top has a Dot Drop notch for an 8MP selfie camera and a tiny earpiece grill. Aside from that, there is a prominent bottom chin, which contributes to the less contemporary design typical of this price range. The plastic increases the device’s durability and reduces its weight, but it lacks the premium feel of metal or glass backs. Its size might also make single-handed use challenging, particularly for users with smaller hands. The Redmi 15C 5G is designed for budget-conscious users who love long-term viewing experiences. It features a big 6.9-inch Dot Drop display with an IPS LCD panel. The resolution is HD+ (720 x 1,600 pixels), and the AdaptiveSync technology allows for refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. The display offers a brightness of 660 nits under standard settings and can boost up to 810 nits in high brightness mode, suitable for different lighting conditions. It features a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz for better responsiveness and is scratch-resistant to Mohs Level 6, ensuring durability during daily use, as previously noted. The pixel density is lower at 4,254 pixels per inch (ppi), yet the display seems acceptable from a regular viewing distance. However, closer inspection reveals minor softness in text and small icons, making the display less sharp than a Full HD (1080p) screen. However, we do not view this softness as a deal breaker. Although the highest outdoor brightness of 810 nits qualifies it for outdoor usage, it is not ideal in direct sunlight. DC dimming and other features eliminate flicker and blue light indoors, enhancing eye comfort during nighttime use. The screen’s 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smooth and responsive navigation. Additionally, the 240 Hz touch sampling rate benefits casual gaming. A bigger screen size makes streaming services like YouTube and Netflix more immersive, even if the bezels are a little annoying. The gadget features a single speaker at the bottom and a “Super Volume Boost” function that allows volume to surpass maximum levels, making it loud enough for small spaces. However, this increase might result in audio that is “thin” or distorted, especially with bass-heavy songs. Voice calls over the loudspeaker are crisp, and viewing movies is immersive, despite the audio’s lack of stereo depth. Music playback is fairly loud but lacks depth and bass, making wired audio the better option for music quality.
Performance and cameras
The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 5G chipset serves as the central processing unit, with an octa-core configuration that includes two high-performance cores, specifically the 2.4GHz Cortex-A76 and six efficiency-oriented cores, the 2.0GHz Cortex-A55, which maximise power efficiency while providing sufficient processing power for daily tasks. In terms of graphics capability, the chipset has the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, which can handle casual gaming and perform user interface animations with minimal lag. Xiaomi provides various configurations featuring UFS 2.2 storage, delivering faster performance compared to standard eMMC storage within the same price range. Options include 4GB, 6GB, or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, along with a Memory Extension feature that can add up to 8GB of virtual RAM. The internal storage options are 128GB or 256GB, which may be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. Its MediaTek Dimensity 6300 CPU allows for good multitasking, particularly with the 6GB RAM version, although the 4GB edition may suffer under heavy load. Also Read:Nothing Phone (3a) Lite Review: CMF performance in a Nothing bodyBenchmarks indicate that Redmi 15C 5G can achieve an AnTuTu score of 5,79,254. This performance level places the chipset firmly in the mid-range category of low-cost 5G smartphones, making it a viable option for users looking for both affordability and performance.Despite not being advertised as a “gaming phone”, the Dimensity 6300 processor provides solid performance for popular games such as BGMI and PUBG, attaining 40–60 FPS on balanced or smooth settings. Its effective thermal management reduces heat accumulation, even during long gaming sessions. In addition, HyperOS 2.0 has a Game Turbo mode that optimises gaming resources. The Redmi 15C 5G comes preloaded with Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0, which is based on Android 15 and includes a promise of two years of major Android upgrades and four years of security fixes, assuring usability until 2029.The HyperOS 2.0 interface is lighter and more fluid, with a visual revamp that includes a new texture and a cleaner font system for easier readability.Despite improvements to the user interface (UI) for a more seamless experience, the device still comes with various pre-installed apps. Most of these applications are uninstallable, but they are included by default, so users will see them during setup. Most notably, the device is equipped with numerous AI features, including “Circle to Search,” which enables users to search for images, videos, or text directly on their screens. Users can circle, highlight, doodle, or tap to specify what they want to find, eliminating the need for screenshots. Additionally, users can engage with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, to enhance their ideas. It offers assistance with writing, brainstorming, learning, and various other tasks. In everyday use, the Redmi 15C 5G provides a solid experience, handling operations like emails, social media, and video streaming without latency. Its HyperOS 2.0 and 120Hz refresh rate improve responsiveness, allowing for faster app launches and smoother scrolling.Notable productivity features include Floating Windows for multitasking and Xiaomi interconnectivity options; certain entry-level models skip traditional split-screen mode to prioritise speed. The Redmi 15C 5G has a basic camera system, avoiding the sophisticated triple-camera systems that are commonly associated with low-cost smartphones. Its rear camera is made up of a primary 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, as well as an additional 0.08MP sensor. This second sensor primarily contributes to obtaining depth information for portrait pictures, reinforcing the device’s emphasis on providing a professional photographic experience with no additional frills. In the daytime, the 15C 5G performs admirably, with accurate colours and well-balanced exposure, aided by Xiaomi’s “Ultra HD” mode, which makes use of the full 50MP resolution to produce clear landscape shots ideal for social media. However, in low-light conditions, the device’s basic hardware limitations become apparent, resulting in noisy night photos with soft textures. Also Read:Moto G57 Power Review: A lot of phone for Rs 15,000!Auto Night Mode tries to artificially brighten photos but does not capture as much detail as higher-end models. In portrait mode, the camera effectively detects edges on subjects, though it may have difficulty with detailed features like hair and sunglasses. The 15C 5G offers up to 10x digital zoom; while 2x zoom remains clear and practical, image quality drops significantly beyond 5x.night mode off/ with night mode onThe 8MP front camera captures natural skin tones during the day and features a soft-light ring for better lighting, along with a selfie beauty mode that smooths skin naturally without an artificial appearance.portraitThe front and rear cameras’ video capabilities are restricted to 1080p at 30 frames per second with no optical image stabilisation (OIS) and only moderate electronic image stabilisation (EIS). As a result, video recordings, especially those taken while moving, might seem unsteady, making the camera better suited for stationary use or video chats.1x vs 2xOverall, the camera produces solid, 50-megapixel daytime photos with natural colour reproduction. However, the lack of ultra-wide and macro lenses restricts its usefulness. Furthermore, its low-light performance is poor, and while the user interface is clear and easy, video capture suffers from shakiness due to a lack of stability. The device boasts impressive endurance, thanks to its large 6,000mAh battery that can last up to two days with moderate use. It also supports 33W Turbo Charging, enabling the phone to reach 50% charge in approximately 28-30 minutes. Furthermore, the smartphone has reverse charging capabilities, acting as a power bank that can deliver energy to other devices, such as earphones, at a rate of 10W via wired reverse charging.
Verdict
The Redmi 15C 5G is a low-cost smartphone with a huge 6.9-inch display and a long-lasting 6,000 mAh battery. It has a polycarbonate body and HD+ resolution, which are typical of entry-level devices, but it stands out for its smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, IP64 durability, and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, making it ideal for those who value screen space and 5G connectivity. Furthermore, the 6,000mAh battery makes it a true endurance champion. For serious gamers or photography enthusiasts, the 720p screen and basic cameras may be considered limiting.

Samsung and SK Hynix plan to mass-produce sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM4) chips designed for artificial intelligence (AI) uses. Samsung is anticipated to start manufacturing in February 2026, followed by SK Hynix in September 2026. NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin AI accelerator system will primarily utilise these processors, providing significant performance and customisation improvements compared to previous versions.According to a report, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will begin mass production of HBM4, the sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory, in February of next year, marking a key milestone in the memory semiconductor industry. This milestone will consolidate their market leadership, especially as HBM4 will be used in Nvidia’s next-generation AI processor, ‘Rubin’, highlighting their technological superiority over competitors like Micron. Production will take place in SK Hynix’s M16 plant in Icheon and the M15X fab in Cheongju, while Samsung’s operations will commence concurrently at its Pyeongtaek location. The shift to mass manufacturing comes after satisfactory testing of HBM4 samples delivered to Nvidia, implying that the K-semiconductor monopoly in the global memory industry will continue in the coming year.HBM4 represents a significant leap in customised products, with SK Hynix and TSMC using a 12 nm logic process for the base chip. This advancement has resulted in double the bandwidth and more than 40% higher power efficiency than previous generations. Analysts predict that HBM4 will be a flagship product by the middle of next year, corresponding with NVIDIA‘s Rubin launch. SK Hynix plans to maintain its market leadership by beginning mass manufacturing in September. Also Read:Here is how you can buy a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra at Rs 69,999Samsung Electronics is stated to have implemented an integrated strategy from design to manufacturing, utilising advanced microfabrication technology for HBM4 production, which has received good performance ratings from NVIDIA. HBM4 demonstrated a peak performance of 11.7 Gbps in testing, necessitating a faster mass production schedule for February. In contrast, Micron intends to begin mass manufacturing in the second quarter of next year, creating a timing lag with Korean companies. NVIDIA intends to align its next-generation chip development with the February schedules of Samsung and SK.Furthermore, SK Hynix plans to expand manufacturing at its M15X fab in Cheongju, commencing mass production of HBM4 in February of next year. With an expenditure of more than 20 trillion won, this facility will manufacture HBM3E and HBM4 chips, as well as establish a 10 nm-class 6th-generation DRAM line for HBM4E. The M15X will run two cleanrooms: one opens in February, the other by year’s end. By mid-2027, M15X is expected to create an extra 50,000 12-inch wafer-based DRAM units per month, easing HBM supply limitations and increasing sales. Also Read:Poco M8 5G camera specs revealed ahead of India’s launchSamsung Electronics is increasing its market position by leveraging its large manufacturing facilities, which presently produce 650,000 DRAM units per month, outpacing SK Hynix’s 550,000. Samsung is marginally behind SK Hynix in HBM output, with 160,000 units produced vs 170,000 by Hynix. Amidst worldwide investment in AI leadership, the firm intends to improve HBM4 yields and technology to disrupt the industry, emphasising the vital requirement for a solid supply chain.

Most heroes lock you into one role, but Sora MLBB doesn’t. His form-switching kit can adapt to any fight, offering burst damage or crowd control.
Known as the Shifting Cloud, he’s not your typical one-role fighter. He’s designed for players who enjoy adapting on the fly, reading fights, and choosing the right moment to either burst enemies down or lock them in place with heavy crowd control.
If you plan on picking him up on day one, you can click BuffBuff to get your Diamonds ready without breaking your grind. After all, new heroes like Sora Mobile Legends often shine early. Better get prepared so you won’t miss that launch momentum.
Who’s Sora MLBB?
Sora Mobile Legends enters the Land of Dawn as a fighter built around adaptability. In his base form, he already feels smooth to play. It’s all thanks to his short cooldowns, decent mobility, and reliable physical damage for lane control.
What sets him apart is his Ultimate, which lets him transform into different combat identities. Instead of committing to one role in the draft, he decides his role during the fight, depending on the situation.
This makes Sora Mobile Legends especially appealing to players who enjoy flexible heroes. You can poke and zone one second, then dive deep or peel for your backline the next, all without changing heroes.
Sora MLBB’s Shifting Cloud Mechanic
Sora Mobile Legends’ passive, Mystic Surge, is the backbone of his kit. In Thunder Form, any extra HP turns into Attack, letting him play more like a high-damage, assassin-style build.
Switch to Torrent Form, and it’s the opposite. Extra Attack becomes HP, turning him into a much tankier frontline threat for extended fights and heavy engagements.
After transforming, MLBB Sora gains Cloudstep stacks by hitting enemy heroes or summons. And once he reaches five stacks, his transformed Ultimate becomes available. This is just perfect for players who stay aggressive and land their skills consistently.
Thunder Form: Speed, Pressure, and Burst Damage
Thunder Form makes Sora MLBB deadly against squishy heroes. The untargetable window allows him to dodge burst damage and bait out important enemy skills.
In this form, his abilities hit more times, his mobility improves, and he can move while attacking. The Ultimate rains lightning over a wide area, making it easy to chase targets while constantly dealing damage.
This form can also be your go-to option for diving the backline and cleaning up low-mobility carries. Against teams with weak peel, it gives MLBB Sora full control of team fights.
Torrent Form: Crowd Control and Teamfight Control
Torrent Form changes how Sora MLBB plays entirely. Instead of chasing kills, he becomes a walking disruption tool that messes with enemy positioning.
His kit pulls enemies in, stuns them, knocks them up, and keeps them slowed. That makes him perfect for starting fights or chaining crowd control with his teammates.
In coordinated fights, Torrent Form gives Sora Mobile Legends control over the map. He not only does damage, but also decides where enemies are allowed to stand.
How Sora MLBB Plays in Real Matches
Sora MLBB’s laning is all about positioning. His first skill comes up fast and works well for poke and wave clear, but without early sustain, bad trades can backfire.
In team fights, he really starts to shine. He can jump in with his second skill, switch forms based on enemy spacing, and keep chaining abilities thanks to his transformation resets.
Just keep in mind that Sora Mobile Legends depends on hitting his first skill to stack Cloudstep. Mobile heroes or knockback champs can break his flow, so patience and good timing are key to mastering him.
Teammates, Counters, and Threats to Sora MLBB
Sora MLBB is strongest with solid crowd control support. Tigreal, Minotaur, or Gatotkaca are perfect for him, especially when he goes all-in with Thunder Form. Their lockdown makes it way easier for him to stack Cloudstep and drop his transformed Ultimate at full power.
On the flip side, he loves facing squishy heroes without reliable escapes. Marksmen like Layla, Miya, and Hanabi can struggle badly against his sudden dives and form switches, especially once he gets momentum in the mid to late game. One well-timed transformation is often enough to delete them from a fight.
Still, MLBB Sora isn’t really unstoppable. Mobile heroes or those with strong knockbacks like Fanny, Arlott, or Valir can shut down his combos and slow his Cloudstep stacks. Against these matchups, Sora mains need patience, good positioning, and smarter form choices to stay effective.
What Makes Sora MLBB Different
Most heroes stick to one role all game, but Sora MLBB doesn’t. His Ultimate lets him swap between burst-heavy Thunder Form and CC-focused Torrent Form, depending on what the fight needs.
This makes Sora Mobile Legends all about decision-making and timing. Choose the right form, and he will stay impactful in skirmishes and big team fights alike.
Final Thoughts
Sora MLBB officially drops in the game on December 18, launching with a 30% discount during the first week. His Azure Cloud skin will also be available at a reduced price for the first 14 days.
If you enjoy fighters who reward decision-making, he’s worth your time. His form-switching kit gives him long-term value instead of being a one-patch gimmick.
And once you’ve secured him, don’t forget to check the latest MLBB redeem codes out to grab extra freebies while learning his combos and playstyles. So, are you ready to shift with the clouds?
The XRP price in USD, at $2.44 on November 12, 2025, down 5.71% today to a range of $2.38-$2.57, extends far beyond crypto enthusiasts. Ripple’s token, with a $136 billion market cap and $4.1 billion daily volume, powers cross-border payments for 300+ banks and fintechs. Its 1.99% monthly gain and 41% Q2 ODL volume growth to $1.3 trillion signal real-world adoption. In 2025’s $290 trillion payments market, XRP/USD isn’t just a chart—it’s a gauge of digital finance’s reach. This article explores why its price resonates across industries, from remittances to central banks.
XRP/USD as a Barometer for Cross-Border Efficiency
XRP/USD reflects payment innovation. Ripple’s ODL settles transactions in 3-5 seconds at $0.0002 fees, versus SWIFT’s 36-96 hours and $26-50. Santander reports 90% cost savings, while Thunes’ 80% remittance coverage via XRPL drives $1.3 trillion quarterly.
The price reacts to milestones. SEC’s 2025 $125 million settlement and ETF approvals ($1.2 billion AUM) lifted XRP/USD 8.5% to $3.40 in August. Braza Bank’s $1 billion stablecoin payments on XRPL boosted it further.
Beyond crypto, XRP/USD signals fintech disruption. Its $2.44 level, up from $0.3865 lows, mirrors $50 trillion B2B payments by 2030, challenging SWIFT’s $5 trillion daily dominance.
Impact on Remittances and Emerging Markets
XRP/USD’s stability aids remittances, a $700 billion market. In the Philippines or Mexico, XRP’s 3-second transfers cut fees 90%, per World Bank data. SBI Holdings processes billions via ODL, lifting XRP/USD on volume spikes.
Emerging economies benefit. India and Indonesia, top remittance receivers, see XRP/USD rally on local adoption. Its price tracks currency weakness—rupee or peso drops spur XRP demand for hedging.
For migrants, XRP/USD’s $2.44 level means affordable transfers. A $200 remittance costs $0.04 via XRP versus $13 via Western Union. This efficiency drives 21,000 new wallets weekly.
XRP/USD and Institutional Finance Integration
Institutions watch XRP/USD closely. JP Morgan’s XRPL pilots for FX settlements and PNC’s cost savings tie price to B2B flows. RLUSD stablecoin launch in July 2025, handling $1 billion payments, pushed XRP/USD from $2.35 to $2.85.
Central banks’ experiment. Singapore’s MAS and the UAE’s CBUAE test XRP for CBDC interoperability, with $50 billion in trials. XRP/USD’s 1.99% monthly gain reflects this—regulatory clarity fuels institutional inflows.
DeFi TVL on XRPL jumped to $3.2 billion, up from $83 million, blending traditional and digital finance. XRP/USD’s price becomes a proxy for blockchain’s banking penetration.
Broader Economic and Regulatory Signals
XRP/USD reacts to macro shifts. Fed rate cuts in September 2025, dropping 10-year yields below 3.8%, lifted it $0.10 in days, as low rates favour non-yielding assets. Tariff fears in October dipped it 12%, mirroring risk-off moves.
Regulatory wins matter. SEC’s 2025 commodity reclassification and ETF approvals ($1.2 billion AUM) spiked XRP/USD 8.5%. Global standards, likethe EU’s MiCA, boost confidence.
For economists, XRP/USD signals fintech’s economic weight. Its $136 billion cap rivals mid-tier banks, influencing $290 trillion in payments by 2030. Price stability at $2.44 hints at maturing adoption.

The XRP price in USD at $2.44 on November 12, 2025, matters far beyond crypto—it’s a pulse for cross-border payments, remittances, and institutional finance. Ripple’s ODL ($1.3 trillion Q2), 90% cost savings, and 300+ partners challenge SWIFT, while SEC clarity and ETF inflows ($1.2 billion) drive adoption. Lava’s new design philosophy for its ‘Agni’ series is an exciting one. Gone is the secondary display on the back panel – sacrificed for a cleaner, more premium look. The glass back panel has a smooth matte finish. The oval camera island is aligned towards the centre, causing no wobble whatsoever. The two camera sensors lie on either end of this cutout, with the ‘AGNI’ lettering and a sleek flash bar in the middle. Overall, the smartphone exudes a clean look and has a splendid in-hand feel – something you’d expect from a flagship device. The glass back panel curves ever so gently towards the flat aluminium frame. This frame has rounded corners. Its right edge houses the volume rocker, side button, and a new ‘Action’ key. The single-press, double-press, and long-press actions for this key are completely customisable. It is positioned towards the bottom of the device, which is something we like because it fosters a more natural hand position when you use it as a shutter button. At the bottom of the frame lie the SIM tray, primary microphone, USB-C slot, and primary speaker. The secondary speaker, noise-cancelling microphone, and IR blaster are placed up top.The 6.67-inch AMOLED display is one of Agni 4’s biggest assets. It has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. We did not face any legibility issues while using the device under direct sunlight. The touch response is very fluid and smooth. The bezels surrounding the display are slim and uniform. The optical fingerprint scanner under the display, while not as fast as its ultrasonic counterparts, does the job quite well.We used the Lava Agni 4 as our primary media streaming device during the review period, streaming content across OTT platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar. The 1.5K AMOLED display produced detailed visuals packed with vibrant colours. The deep blacks and punchy contrast are a big step up from an ordinary LCD panel. While the viewing experience is top-notch, the stereo speaker setup is a bit of a letdown. The boxy audio output is something that Lava needs to sort out in its next Agni iteration.
Lava Agni 4 Review: Performance and Cameras
At the heart of the Lava Agni 4 lies the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset. The device is equipped with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage. There are no other storage options on offer. Here’s how the smartphone performed in the Geekbench 6 test.
Single-core: 1,462 points.
Multi-core: 4,536 points.
As the benchmark numbers suggest, the Agni 4 goes through routine tasks like a hot knife through butter. While daily driving the device, we did not come across a single issue while performing tasks like calling, instant messaging, media streaming, web browsing, and navigation. The UFS 4.0 storage configuration ensures that apps take no time to load. The LPDDR5X RAM is pretty fast as well, juggling multiple apps without breaking a sweat. Our only complaint lies with the blunt vibrational feedback produced by the haptic motor. It feels a smidge cheap on an otherwise premium device. The gaming performance of the Agni 4 is quite underrated. Lava does not market it as a gaming phone, but it can hang with the best of them. We were able to play Call of Duty Mobile at 90fps with low graphics settings. Pushing the graphics to their highest settings meant contending with a 60fps frame rate. This wasn’t an issue for us, as the gameplay delivered by the device was smooth and consistent. Annoying lags and frame drops were nowhere to be seen. The 4,300mm² 3D VC liquid cooling system was able to dissipate the internal heat and keep the device cool during long gaming sessions. In our testing, the back panel started to warm up after the 30-minute mark.OS duties on the Agni 4 are handled by Android 15 out of the box. This is a strange choice since Android 16 has been out for a while at this point. It has been promised 3 major OS upgrades and 4 years of security patches. The Android 16 update is not available for this device yet.The overall software experience is clean and free of bloatware apps. However, it could use more optimisation and some finishing touches. For starters, the animations and cards could use more smoothness. Their jagged movement takes away from the browsing experience. On top of that, Lava needs to put more work into the font style. The lettering in the settings menu and certain dialogue boxes feels very basic.Vayu AIYou get a few useful AI features on this device. Lava’s Vayu AI chatbot has useful agents like Math and English teachers. The AI image editor can also be found in this section. It does a good job of removing unwanted objects from images and taking cues from the background to fill up the space that’s left behind. We also like the cute pet avatar on the home page. Long-pressing this avatar lets you input voice queries. A double-tap takes you to Vayu AI. Apart from AI features, Lava has a suite of Outdoor Toolbox with useful tools like Height Meter, Compass, Gradienter, Flashlight, Magnifier, Protractor, and more.Vayu AIThe Agni 4 packs a 5,000mAh Li-Po battery under its hood. While it isn’t as big as its Si/C counterparts, it offers a standard 1-day battery life. Our average screen time on the device was between 5 and 6 hours. We ended each day with ~20% charge in the tank. The 66W power adapter provided in the box can fully charge the phone in just over 50 minutes.Outdoor ToolboxThe rear camera panel houses a 50MP primary shooter and an 8MP ultrawide lens. Lava has ditched the 8MP telephoto lens from the Agni 3. Up front, a 50MP selfie camera is placed inside a punch-hole cutout on the display. The 50MP primary shooter captures good pictures in outdoor daylight conditions. The images showcase vibrant colours, sharp contrast, and good dynamic range. It isn’t the best sensor in the segment when it comes to capturing details, but the colour profile makes up for it. In limited lighting conditions, the Night Mode does a decent job of lighting up the shot and reducing the noise, but the images look a bit overexposed.Portrait shots taken by the primary shooter are vibrant and well-focused. The smartphone adds a tasteful background blur in these shots. However, it tends to blur the edges of the subject at times. This isn’t a deal breaker for us, as the overall shots are well composed.Portraits: 1x v 2xThe 8MP ultrawide lens takes decent shots in outdoor daylight conditions. The images are softer than the ones taken with the primary shooter, but the colour profile is consistent for the most part. In limited lighting conditions, the Night Mode is able to light up the shot, but the images are visibly grainy.Ultrawide LensUltrawide LensThe 50MP front-facing camera takes clear selfies. The images are clear and detailed. However, the smartphone tends to smooth the skin tone of the subject in the processing stage. It carries out tone correction as well, but not at the expense of the selfie looking artificial. The front-facing camera and primary shooter can record 4K videos at 30 and 60fps. Meanwhile, the ultrawide camera can record 1,080p footage at 30fps.Selfie cameraRead Also: Poco M8 5G camera specs revealed ahead of India’s launch
Verdict
Lava Agni 4 is the dark horse of its segment. It may not get the plaudits it deserves, but it will certainly carve a niche of loyal users for itself. In many ways, it feels like Lava’s statement piece. The clean design language, coupled with smart craftsmanship, makes this device punch above its weight. It looks and feels like a premium product – something we don’t get to say about the phones in this segment. The charming aesthetics are matched with a rock-solid performance. The Dimensity 8350 SoC is super reliable when it comes to everyday tasks. The consistent and smooth gameplay offered by this device deserves a shout-out as well. The 6.77-inch AMOLED display is smooth, responsive, and snappy. The cameras, while not the best in the segment, put up a good performance in outdoor daylight conditions. While the Agni 4 checks all of the important boxes, Lava still has some work to do when it comes to software experience. For starters, its most premium offering should run the latest Android OS version. Additionally, the software needs to be perfectly optimised for a fluid browsing experience. This means better transitions, animations, and visual effects. Lastly, Lava needs to polish and garnish its add-ons and customisations. Even something trivial like the font style of the text in a dialogue box can seem off-putting if it isn’t executed perfectly.Buy on Amazon for Rs 24,998
