Oppo’s K14 series got a grand launch last month with the introduction of the base K14x model. Fetching Rs 13,000, this smartphone is designed for users looking for a reliable daily driver that can handle routine tasks without a struggle. The 6.75-inch display is ideal for consuming content, and the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC is a decent processor for the price bracket that the device finds itself in. We used the phone for a week and put it through a series of rigorous tests to find out if it offers good value for money. Oppo K14x 5G Review: Design and Display
Here’s what you get inside Oppo K14x’s retail box:
Smartphone
45W power adapter
USB-A to USB-C cable
Silicone cover
SIM ejector
Quick start guide
For an affordable smartphone, the Oppo K14x has a pretty stylish look. Its plastic back panel has a fractal pattern that shines when light falls on it. The vertical camera panel does not have a big bump, which keeps the phone from wobbling when it’s placed on a flat surface. The smooth finish on the plastic panel offers a nice in-hand feel, but it tends to attract fingerprints and smudges quite easily. The plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side button on its right edge. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side button. The SIM tray has a microSD card slot and is positioned on the left edge. The 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille are placed on the bottom edge. The smartphone has an IP64 rating, which means it can survive exposure to light splashes of water. The 6.75-inch LCD panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1,125 nits. It maintains optimum legibility in outdoor conditions under direct sunlight. The bezels surrounding the display get thicker around the chin – a common occurrence in this price segment. The touch response is fine once you set the refresh rate to 120Hz. The fingerprint sensor on the side key is fast and accurate.During the review period, we used the Oppo K14x to stream TV and movie titles across OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar. The 720 x 1,570p display produced good details and vibrant colours. While it is easily outclassed by its AMOLED counterparts, it is pretty solid for its price bracket. We found the overall viewing experience to be quite fun. The single, bottom-firing speaker produced a surprisingly well-balanced audio output.
Oppo K14x 5G Review: Performance and Cameras
Powering the Oppo K14x is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. This chipset is based on a 6nm process. There are 3 RAM (LPDDR4X) and storage (UFS 2.2) variants on offer:
4GB + 64GB: Rs 12,999
4GB + 128GB: Rs 14,999
6GB + 128GB: Rs 16,999
We ran a couple of benchmark tests on the smartphone. Here is how it performed:
For a budget phone, the Oppo K14x delivers a solid everyday performance. It handles routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, emailing, web browsing, and media streaming without breaking a sweat. The Dimensity 6300 isn’t the flashiest of processors, and LPDDR5X and UFS 2.2 aren’t the fastest configurations out there, so the odd lag and stutter are inevitable. But as long as you stick to basic tasks, you won’t have any major complaints with the device. The gaming experience on the K14x is decent if you keep the graphics and frame rate limited to their medium settings. At a 60fps frame rate, we were able to enjoy titles like Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI without any major hindrances to the gameplay. Sure, you are likely to come across the odd frame drop, but that’s something to be expected of a budget phone in the sub-Rs 13,000 price range. On the bright side, the smartphone is able to sustain a smooth performance for an extended period of time. The back panel starts to warm up once you hit the 20-minute mark. Software duties on this device are handled by the Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The lack of Android 16 out of the box is a bit of a letdown, but an update seems to be on the way. The interface is riddled with bloatware apps, but we can’t complain much, given the affordable price tag. Thankfully, the bloatware apps can be removed completely.Oppo’s ColorOS 15 offers a good range of customisation options for the lock screen and home page. The native Flux themes are aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound. If you can’t land on a favourite, the Theme Store has a lot of third-party options waiting for you. Since the smartphone uses an LCD panel, it misses out on Always on Display.Another thing we like about ColorOS is that it has its own native apps for Phone and Messages. Not only does it offer an alternative to users who don’t want to link their Google accounts to these services, but it also gives the device its own unique flair. The native Photos app is equipped with AI tools to erase objects, remove reflections, and enhance the quality of your pictures. You also get Google’s Circle to Search tool and Gemini AI assistant right out of the box.The massive 6,500mAh battery pack is one of the biggest highlights of this device. It can last an entire day of heavy use with some charge to spare for the next day. If you are conservative with your usage, you can push the battery life to 2 days. On average usage, we ended our days with ~35-40% charge left in the tank. The 45W power adapter takes up to 90 minutes to fully charge the device. The rear camera panel houses a 50MP primary shooter and an auxiliary lens. The primary shooter captures good shots in outdoor daylight conditions. The images, while on the softer side, flaunt delightfully vibrant colours. If your main priority is posting on social media, you won’t be disappointed by these shots. In limited lighting conditions, the camera relies on Night Mode to light up the shots. The final results are soft and grainy. We were pleasantly surprised by the portraits taken by this smartphone. It did a good job of detecting the subject’s edges to distinguish it from the background. It even applied a light background blur to make the portraits pop. The 5MP front-facing camera captures clear selfies in natural lighting. It doesn’t overcorrect the skin tone or texture. The results feel natural. The front and rear cameras can record 1,080p videos at 30fps.Portraits: 1x v 2xRead Also: Xiaomi Pad 8, powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, launched in India
Verdict
For a smartphone priced at Rs 13,000, the Oppo K14x checks all the essential boxes and then some more. It has a big, bright display that’s ideal for media consumption. The 3.5mm headphone jack saves you the money that you would have to spend on a wireless headset. The MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC handles routine tasks without any hiccups. The 50MP main camera impresses with the vibrant shots it captures in natural lighting. The selfies taken from the 5MP front-facing camera aren’t too bad either. Tying the bow on this neat experience is the 2-day battery life offered by the 6,500mAh battery pack.Buy on Amazon for Rs 13,820

Embarking on a long journey without having something to watch on the way is a recipe for boredom. You can always stream something on the spot, but watching offline content is always the better choice as it saves your mobile data and ensures minimal battery drain. Downloading content beforehand may be a no-brainer, but it comes with its own set of issues. Sometimes, users report that the titles they’re downloading do not move past the 0% mark. If your Netflix app can’t download movies or TV shows either, here are 12 quick fixes that will help you resolve the issue.Read Also: Oppo K14x 5G 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant launched in India: Pricing and Availability
In This Article
What’s causing this issue?
Before we dive into the fixes, let’s take a look at what could be causing this issue on your device. Here are some of the usual suspects.
Corrupted cache.
Insufficient storage capacity.
Incompatible device.
Outdated device OS.
Outdated app version.
Faulty internet connection.
Netflix’s servers are down.
The licence holder hasn’t made the content available for download.
You have reached the download limit for the title.
You have reached the download limit for your Netflix plan.
Force-stop and restart Netflix
Go to Settings.
Tap on Apps.
Select App management.
Scroll down and select Netflix.
Hit Force stop.
Go to the app drawer and relaunch Netflix.
Clear the app cache
Go to Settings.
Tap on Apps.
Select App management.
Scroll down and select Netflix.
Tap on Storage.
Hit Clear cache.
Check the storage capacity
If your phone’s internal storage is fully occupied, Netflix won’t be able to download your desired titles. You can check the internal storage capacity of your phone by going to Settings>Storage. Alternatively, you can go to the Netflix app, navigate to app settings, and scroll down to view how much free storage is available on your device.
Is the title available to download?
Some Netflix titles are not available for offline viewing. The decision to make a title available for download lies with the production studio that owns the content. This also applies to Netflix Originals that are made in partnership with another studio.
Have you reached the download limit for the title?
Some license operators have a limit on how many times their titles can be downloaded by a user on Netflix. This limit can be anywhere from 2 to 20 downloads per year. Downloading a title on multiple devices using the same account counts as multiple downloads.
Check if you have reached your Netflix plan’s download limit
If you have reached your maximum download limit, you won’t be able to save more titles for offline viewing. Ad-supported plans allow 15 monthly downloads per device for 2 total devices. This limit resets at the end of each month. You can switch to a more premium plan to increase the monthly limit.
Check if your device is compatible with Netflix downloads
Netflix does not support downloads on Smart TVs, MacBooks, and Windows PCs/laptops. Here is the list of supported devices:
Android phone or tablet
iPhone or iPad
Amazon Fire tablet
Google Chromebook (with Google Play Store installed)
Update the app version
Older versions of the Netflix app may not support downloads. You can update the app by going to the Google Play Store/App Store, searching for Netflix, and hitting the Update button on the official app page.
Update your phone/tablet
Older OS versions may not allow Netflix to download content on your device. If you’re using Android 10 or an older OS, allow Netflix to use your device’s storage.
Go to Settings and select Software update.
Tap on Download and install.
Select Install now.
Sign out and sign back in
It is possible that an account-related issue is keeping Netflix from downloading your desired titles. This issue can be resolved by signing out of Netflix and then signing back in. Hit the hamburger menu in the top right corner of the home page and select ‘Sign Out’ from the pop-up menu. Once you’re signed out, use your login credentials to sign back in.
Check if Netflix’s servers are down
If Netflix is experiencing a server outage, you won’t be able to browse and download titles on the platform. You can use DownDetector to find out if other users are going through the same issue. If there is a spike in recent user reports, it means that Netflix is down.
Check your internet connection
It is possible that the issue lies not with Netflix, but with your internet connection. Perform a quick speed test to confirm whether this is the case. If you notice poor speeds and weak signal strength, switch to a different WiFi connection.

No, the Netflix app on Windows and Mac devices does not support downloads for offline viewing.
Why am I not able to download a movie on Netflix?
Some licence holders impose download limits on their content. This limit can range from 2 to 40 downloads. Netflix also has a download limit of its own, depending on the subscription plan. Ad-supported plans allow only 15 monthly downloads per device for 2 total devices.
Why are some movies and TV shows not available for download on Netflix?
Some downloaded titles expire after 48 hours of being played. The countdown starts as soon as you hit play on a download. The ‘My Downloads’ page lets you know how much time you have left. Once expired, the title can be renewed easily. If you have any questions related to this issue, let us know in the comments!
There is a familiar trick in personal audio launches. Promise “flagship” sound, add some bass bravado, and hope nobody asks too many questions. The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro launch date is now official, though, and these buds seem ready to do more than just talk a big game. OnePlus has revealed that the new Nord Buds 4 Pro will launch on March 19, with headline features including up to 55dB active noise cancellation, LHDC 5.0 support, titanium-coated drivers, spatial audio, and a lighter 4.4g design per earbud.

A Nord pair aiming higher
OnePlus is positioning the Nord Buds 4 Pro as a more premium-sounding option in its affordable audio lineup. The company says the earbuds can block up to 55 decibels of noise, which would make them the strongest noise-cancelling Nord Buds yet. They have also received TÜV Rheinland high-performance noise cancellation certification, a detail that adds some credibility to the ANC claim beyond the usual launch-day chest-thumping.
That matters because ANC is no longer a bonus feature in wireless earbuds. It is the feature buyers notice first. In crowded commutes, noisy flights, shared workspaces, and cafes full of espresso machines performing a one-act opera, effective noise cancellation can make or break the experience. If OnePlus delivers close to what it is promising here, the Nord Buds 4 Pro could end up attracting buyers who want premium-style features without immediately jumping to the top shelf.
The second big promise is sound. OnePlus says the Nord Buds 4 Pro use new drivers with 100 per cent more power than the previous Nord Buds 3 Pro. The company is also pushing deep bass as a central part of the pitch, while claiming clearer vocals at the same time. That combination is easier to advertise than to perfect, but it is exactly what many mainstream listeners want from a pair of everyday earbuds.
There is more happening on the codec front, too. The Nord Buds 4 Pro support LHDC 5.0, which points to higher-resolution wireless audio support on compatible devices. Add spatial audio into the mix, and OnePlus is clearly trying to stretch the product beyond simple budget-buds territory. On paper, at least, this looks like a spec sheet built to appeal to both casual listeners and feature-hungry buyers who compare codecs before breakfast.
Design is often where good earbuds quietly win. The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro will come in Radiant Grey and Raven Black, and each bud weighs 4.4 grams. OnePlus has also redesigned the charging case, saying it is more than 10 per cent smaller than the previous generation while still maintaining strong battery expectations. Full battery figures are expected at the March 19 launch.
Call quality is another area getting attention. Each earbud includes three microphones, which should help with voice pickup in windy or noisy conditions. Just as notable is the addition of volume slider controls, a small feature on paper but a very practical one in real life. It means users can adjust volume directly from the buds instead of constantly reaching for the phone, which is exactly the kind of daily convenience that tends to matter more over time than flashy launch slogans.
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord Buds 4 Pro will launch on March 19. Pricing has not yet been announced, which is the one missing piece in this early reveal. And frankly, that piece will decide whether this becomes a genuine value hit or just a very interesting spec sheet with excellent timing.
My view is simple. The Nord Buds 4 Pro sound like OnePlus is trying to make affordable earbuds less compromise-heavy and more feature-complete. If the real-world ANC performs well and the price stays sensible, these could become one of the more interesting wireless audio launches this month. In earbuds, as in life, silence is golden. Better bass does not hurt either.

You’d think that streaming sticks would be obsolete in the era of Smart TVs, but they still occupy a wide niche in the market. To put it simply, some TVs just aren’t smart enough. TVs that run their manufacturer’s proprietary OS often lack flourishing app stores. Lack of apps aside, the processor limitations on entry-level and midrange Smart TVs result in a sluggish performance. A simple, affordable streaming stick is a quick fix to these problems. Amazon’s Fire TV Stick stands out as one of the best in its category. Its latest series comprises 3 variants – HD, 4K Select, and 4K Plus. We got our hands on the middle variant and used it for a week. Here is our in-depth review of the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select.Read Also: Pokémon Bronze Forever Codes (March 2026)

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select Review: Design
Before we talk about its design, let’s take a look at what you get inside the Fire TV Stick 4K Select’s retail box:
HDMI stick
Remote
Power adapter
Micro-USB cable
HDMI extender
AAA batteries x2
User manual
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select retains the design of its predecessor. This isn’t a surprise, as streaming sticks landed on the perfect form factor ages ago. There’s no need for them to be flashy either, as they’ll spend most of the time behind the TV. The HDMI dongle has a matte finish with the ‘Fire TV’ lettering embossed in the middle. The micro USB port is placed along the side.It is a strange decision on Amazon’s part to use a micro USB port instead of the universal USB-C on this device. The retail box does have a micro USB cable inside it, but in case it goes missing, you will need to go through your stash of old USB cables to find the perfect match. The HDMI connector makes it easy to plug the streaming stick into your TV. In case the micro USB cable is struggling to reach the stick, you can use the HDMI extender provided in the box to get some leeway. The remote control also has a standard design. While it may have an all-plastic build, the quality of material, along with the matte finish, lends it a premium in-hand feel. The ‘Fire TV’ lettering is embossed at the bottom of the remote. There are dedicated hotkeys for Alexa, Prime Video, Netflix, and Amazon Music. The glossy finish on the navigation buttons offers a nice contrast to the matte finish on the rest of the remote.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select Review: Performance
Connecting the Fire TV Stick to your TV is a straightforward process. The HDMI dongle goes in the HDMI port on your TV. Once the dongle is connected to the power adapter, you can turn on your TV and select the relevant HDMI channel. The Fire TV Stick takes a while to boot for the first time, as it needs to update its software. This process takes up to 5 minutes.Powering the Fire TV Stick 4K Select is a quad-core 1.7 GHz processor. It supports WiFi 5, which isn’t the latest wireless standard, but the difference is too minuscule to notice. The top-spec 4K Plus variant offers WiFi 6 connectivity. You get 8GB of internal storage on this model, which is enough to store all the major streaming apps. The streaming stick supports the following video content formats: HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, H.265, H.264, VP9, AV1. Amazon has made Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support exclusive to the top-spec Fire TV Stick variant. You do get Dolby-encoded audio on the Select model. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select runs Vega OS. It maintains the design elements and general aesthetic of the Fire OS. The home page has a good mix of content from major streaming services. If you don’t find any of the suggested titles compelling, you can switch to the ‘My Stuff’ tab to browse the content you’ve saved across streaming services. If you’re having a hard time remembering the name of the movie you want to watch, you can simply enter the details you remember about it in the search box, and the Fire TV Stick will come up with accurate results. This feature surprised us with how well it worked. Those who want to skip the hassle of typing on a TV remote altogether can use Alexa voice commands to play the content they desire. The viewing experience across major OTT apps is highly enjoyable. The 4K visuals are packed with vibrant colours and immaculate details. What we really like about the Fire TV Stick 4K Select is its ability to transform slow and sluggish TVs into mean machines. Its quad-core processor makes browsing through different apps a fast and seamless process. There is no visible latency between input and feedback. Once you get the hang of the interface, you will fly through it with ease. The diverse appstore has a lot of games to tap into the power of the processor. You can choose to connect your controller and play hundreds of high-quality games on Xbox Game Pass without requiring a console.Read Also: Top 10 Smartphones under Rs 50,000 (March 2026)
Verdict
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Select is a great streaming stick for first-time users. If your TV has a great display but a sluggish processor and an outdated OS, this device will bring it to life. It gives you access to every major streaming app, along with tons of other content. Its OS makes it easy to access all of your favourite content in one place. Alexa connectivity makes browsing much easier. The viewing experience remains detailed and enjoyable, something we’ve come to expect from Amazon’s streaming stick. The lack of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is a small letdown, but not a dealbreaker.Buy on Amazon for Rs 5,499Pros

Apple is getting ready to join the foldable smartphone market with the expected release of its first folding gadget, known as the iPhone Fold. This launch is likely to coincide with the debut of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max later this year, although the company has not publicly verified this information. According to leaked CAD designs, the iPhone Fold would have a book-like appearance, which confirms previous claims. The gadget is additionally speculated to include a dual back-camera arrangement. The iPhone Fold will most likely be powered by Apple’s new A20 Pro chip, which will probably include a 5.3-inch cover display, increasing both functionality and user experience.
Rumours about Apple’s foldable smartphone, presently named the iPhone Fold, have started to circulate in the tech community. The iPhone Fold’s rear panel has a distinct glass portion below the camera island, which prominently displays the Apple logo. The smartphone’s photography capabilities are expected to have a pair-back camera unit housed in a horizontal pill-shaped module.
The iPhone Fold has innovative design aspects, including hole-punch display cuts. This design incorporates cameras for selfies and video calls that are strategically placed on both the cover screen and the inside folding screen. The selfie camera is said to be centred on the cover display, allowing users to frame their shots more precisely. In contrast, the camera on the foldable screen is likely to be put in the top-left corner, indicating careful consideration of usefulness in various orientations. This setup is intended to improve the overall user experience for photography and video communication.
