At Rs 22,999 in India, these buds clearly want to sit at the premium table, and for the most part, they deserve a chair.
If you were hoping Samsung would ditch the stem design and return to its older stemless look, that ship has sailed. The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro double down on the blade-style stem, but this time the design feels more deliberate, more refined, and frankly, less like a compromise. The result is a pair of earbuds that look cleaner, feel slightly more secure, and sound better than their predecessor. That said, this is not a revolution. It is a well-executed upgrade.

Samsung’s new metallic blade finish gives the Buds 4 Pro a more premium personality than the slightly plasticky Buds 3 Pro. They still have stems, yes, but these do not feel like generic copycat appendages. The look is sharper, the finish is sleeker, and the earbuds manage to feel more grown-up without becoming boring.
The fit is also a touch better. Samsung says it has refined the shape using computational design, and in real-world use, that improvement is noticeable. The buds sit a little more comfortably and lock in a little more confidently. Not a dramatic difference, but enough to matter on long listening sessions or brisk walks.
The square charging case is easier to live with than before, and wireless charging remains part of the package. The IP57 rating also adds reassurance for dust resistance and brief water exposure. Just do not confuse that with fully waterproof confidence.
The only real umbrage here is the proprietary ear tip design. If the stock tips do not suit your ears, your replacement options are far more limited than they should be for earbuds at this price.
This is where the Galaxy earbuds sound story gets more interesting. The Buds 4 Pro retain the dual-driver setup with an 11mm woofer and 5.5mm planar tweeter, but the tuning and driver upgrades bring audible gains. The sound is cleaner, a little wider, and more mature. Bass digs deeper without turning bloated, mids are better placed, and treble has enough sparkle to keep detail lovers happy without tipping into harshness.
These are among the best Android earbuds for listeners who want energetic but controlled sound. Tracks with busy instrumentation feel more open, and vocals carry better presence than before. There is a welcome sense of separation too, which helps the Buds 4 Pro avoid that cramped, boxed-in presentation that some premium buds still struggle with.
Noise cancellation improves, but only by degrees. Samsung’s Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 does a solid job with day-to-day environments, and it is respectable on commutes and in cafés. Still, it does not quite reach the benchmark set by some of the others, just a few notches more, and it would have been perfect. Saying that, the Buds 4 Pro ANC performance is good enough for most people, just not class-leading.
Where Samsung really shines is in transparency mode and call quality. Ambient mode sounds impressively natural, with little hiss and a very believable pass-through effect. Voice calling is another highlight. In windy and noisy conditions, the Buds 4 Pro do an excellent job suppressing background chaos. Voices can occasionally sound a little processed, but the overall result is strong and dependable.
Samsung has also loaded these buds with a robust set of smart features. Voice Detect works smoothly, touch and pinch controls are reliable, swipe volume controls are useful, and built-in voice commands are genuinely handy. Features like 360 audio, head tracking, live translation, and automatic switching between Galaxy devices make the package richer, though some of these perks remain locked to Samsung or Android users only.
Battery life, however, is merely decent. Up to six hours with ANC on is not embarrassing, but it is not especially impressive in 2026 either. Samsung’s earbuds battery performance is one area where rivals still have room to gloat.
Samsung has made the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro better in all the right ways, even if the changes are more polish than punch. They look more refined, fit a bit better, sound noticeably cleaner, and deliver excellent calling and transparency performance. For Android users, especially Samsung phone owners, they are a compelling premium option.
If you own the Buds 3 Pro, this is probably not a must-upgrade moment unless you really want the improved finish and better audio. But if you are shopping for new premium earbuds and want strong sound, smart features, great calls, and a snug Buds 4 Pro fit, Samsung has delivered a product that feels easy to recommend. Not because it shouts the loudest, but because it gets a lot right.

The smooth finish on the plastic panel offers a nice in-hand feel, but it tends to attract fingerprints and smudges quite easily.The plastic frame houses the volume rocker and the side button on its right edge. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side button. The SIM tray has a microSD card slot and is positioned on the left edge. The 3.5mm headphone jack, microphone, USB-C port, and speaker grille are placed on the bottom edge. The smartphone has an IP64 rating, which means it can survive exposure to light splashes of water.The 6.75-inch LCD panel has a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1,125 nits. It maintains optimum legibility in outdoor conditions under direct sunlight. The bezels surrounding the display get thicker around the chin – a common occurrence in this price segment. The touch response is fine once you set the refresh rate to 120Hz. The fingerprint sensor on the side key is fast and accurate.During the review period, we used the Oppo K14x to stream TV and movie titles across OTT apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar. The 720 x 1,570p display produced good details and vibrant colours. While it is easily outclassed by its AMOLED counterparts, it is pretty solid for its price bracket. We found the overall viewing experience to be quite fun. The single, bottom-firing speaker produced a surprisingly well-balanced audio output.

For a budget phone, the Oppo K14x delivers a solid everyday performance. It handles routine tasks like calling, instant messaging, emailing, web browsing, and media streaming without breaking a sweat. The Dimensity 6300 isn’t the flashiest of processors, and LPDDR5X and UFS 2.2 aren’t the fastest configurations out there, so the odd lag and stutter are inevitable. But as long as you stick to basic tasks, you won’t have any major complaints with the device.The gaming experience on the K14x is decent if you keep the graphics and frame rate limited to their medium settings. At a 60fps frame rate, we were able to enjoy titles like Call of Duty Mobile and BGMI without any major hindrances to the gameplay. Sure, you are likely to come across the odd frame drop, but that’s something to be expected of a budget phone in the sub-Rs 13,000 price range. On the bright side, the smartphone is able to sustain a smooth performance for an extended period of time. The back panel starts to warm up once you hit the 20-minute mark. Software duties on this device are handled by the Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The lack of Android 16 out of the box is a bit of a letdown, but an update seems to be on the way. The interface is riddled with bloatware apps, but we can’t complain much, given the affordable price tag. Thankfully, the bloatware apps can be removed completely.Oppo’s ColorOS 15 offers a good range of customisation options for the lock screen and home page. The native Flux themes are aesthetically pleasing and functionally sound. If you can’t land on a favourite, the Theme Store has a lot of third-party options waiting for you. Since the smartphone uses an LCD panel, it misses out on Always on Display.Another thing we like about ColorOS is that it has its own native apps for Phone and Messages. Not only does it offer an alternative to users who don’t want to link their Google accounts to these services, but it also gives the device its own unique flair. The native Photos app is equipped with AI tools to erase objects, remove reflections, and enhance the quality of your pictures. You also get Google’s Circle to Search tool and Gemini AI assistant right out of the box.The massive 6,500mAh battery pack is one of the biggest highlights of this device. It can last an entire day of heavy use with some charge to spare for the next day. If you are conservative with your usage, you can push the battery life to 2 days. On average usage, we ended our days with ~35-40% charge left in the tank. The 45W power adapter takes up to 90 minutes to fully charge the device.The rear camera panel houses a 50MP primary shooter and an auxiliary lens. The primary shooter captures good shots in outdoor daylight conditions. The images, while on the softer side, flaunt delightfully vibrant colours. If your main priority is posting on social media, you won’t be disappointed by these shots. In limited lighting conditions, the camera relies on Night Mode to light up the shots. The final results are soft and grainy.We were pleasantly surprised by the portraits taken by this smartphone. It did a good job of detecting the subject’s edges to distinguish it from the background. It even applied a light background blur to make the portraits pop. The 5MP front-facing camera captures clear selfies in natural lighting. It doesn’t overcorrect the skin tone or texture. OnePlus is positioning the Nord Buds 4 Pro as a more premium-sounding option in its affordable audio lineup. The company says the earbuds can block up to 55 decibels of noise, which would make them the strongest noise-cancelling Nord Buds yet. They have also received TÜV Rheinland high-performance noise cancellation certification, a detail that adds some credibility to the ANC claim beyond the usual launch-day chest-thumping.
That matters because ANC is no longer a bonus feature in wireless earbuds. It is the feature buyers notice first. In crowded commutes, noisy flights, shared workspaces, and cafes full of espresso machines performing a one-act opera, effective noise cancellation can make or break the experience. If OnePlus delivers close to what it is promising here, the Nord Buds 4 Pro could end up attracting buyers who want premium-style features without immediately jumping to the top shelf.
The second big promise is sound. OnePlus says the Nord Buds 4 Pro use new drivers with 100 per cent more power than the previous Nord Buds 3 Pro. The company is also pushing deep bass as a central part of the pitch, while claiming clearer vocals at the same time. That combination is easier to advertise than to perfect, but it is exactly what many mainstream listeners want from a pair of everyday earbuds.
There is more happening on the codec front, too. The Nord Buds 4 Pro support LHDC 5.0, which points to higher-resolution wireless audio support on compatible devices. Add spatial audio into the mix, and OnePlus is clearly trying to stretch the product beyond simple budget-buds territory. On paper, at least, this looks like a spec sheet built to appeal to both casual listeners and feature-hungry buyers who compare codecs before breakfast.
Design is often where good earbuds quietly win. The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro will come in Radiant Grey and Raven Black, and each bud weighs 4.4 grams. OnePlus has also redesigned the charging case, saying it is more than 10 per cent smaller than the previous generation while still maintaining strong battery expectations. Full battery figures are expected at the March 19 launch.
Call quality is another area getting attention. Each earbud includes three microphones, which should help with voice pickup in windy or noisy conditions. Just as notable is the addition of volume slider controls, a small feature on paper but a very practical one in real life. It means users can adjust volume directly from the buds instead of constantly reaching for the phone, which is exactly the kind of daily convenience that tends to matter more over time than flashy launch slogans.
OnePlus has confirmed that the Nord Buds 4 Pro will launch on March 19. Pricing has not yet been announced, which is the one missing piece in this early reveal. And frankly, that piece will decide whether this becomes a genuine value hit or just a very interesting spec sheet with excellent timing.
My view is simple. The Nord Buds 4 Pro sound like OnePlus is trying to make affordable earbuds less compromise-heavy and more feature-complete. If the real-world ANC performs well and the price stays sensible, these could become one of the more interesting wireless audio launches this month. In earbuds, as in life, silence is golden. Better bass does not hurt either.
