Logitech MX Master 4 launches in India with haptics, Actions Ring et al

The new flagship MX mouse adds tactile feedback and a smarter shortcut layer for people who live on timelines, spreadsheets, and code.

Logitech MX Master 4 is now official, and yes, it is leaning hard into feel. The company launched MX Master 4 in India, and this new customisable haptic mouse targets creative pros, developers, and office power users who want faster workflows without turning their desk into a gadget museum.

What’s new this time

The headline feature is customizable haptics. Instead of just scrolling and clicking, the mouse can deliver subtle vibrations to confirm actions like scrolling, navigation, and selection. Logitech is positioning this as tactile “feedback you can trust” for work that involves precision, like editing a video timeline, nudging design elements, or moving through big datasets.

Actions Ring overlay, fewer repetitive moves

MX Master 4 also introduces the Actions Ring overlay through Logi Options+. Think of it as a digital shortcut layer that can pop up on-screen with app-specific commands. Logitech says this can cut repetitive mouse movements by up to 63% and help users save time (a company claim based on internal testing). The pitch is simple: fewer trips to menus, more “do the thing” moments.

Stronger connectivity, less drama

Logitech claims 2X stronger connectivity thanks to a high-performance chip and optimised antenna placement. There is also a USB-C dongle for quick pairing across laptops, desktops, and tablets. In straightforward English, it aims to be more reliable in real-world environments, including busy offices with numerous wireless devices.

Key specs that matter in daily use

Here’s what you get on paper, and what it translates to in practice:

  • MagSpeed scroll wheel: up to 1,000 lines per second for fast scrolling

  • 8,000 DPI sensor: supports tracking on most surfaces, including glass

  • Quiet clicks: Logitech claims 90% less noise versus MX Master 3

  • USB-C quick charging: 1-minute charge for up to 3 hours, full charge up to 70 days (company claims)

  • Multi-device pairing: connect and switch between up to three devices, plus file transfer support via Logi Options+

MX Master 4 for Business: IT-friendly extras

For teams, MX Master 4 for Business adds features geared toward deployment and monitoring. With employees logged into Logi Tune, IT can remotely monitor devices via Logitech Sync, reducing the need for desk-side troubleshooting. It also supports Logi Bolt for more reliable connections in crowded office environments.

Sustainability and materials

Logitech says the mouse uses at least 48% certified post-consumer recycled plastic, a low-carbon aluminium thumbwheel, and a battery with 100% recycled cobalt, plus responsibly sourced paper packaging and easier disassembly to support recycling.

MX Master 4 price and availability in India

The mouse is priced at Rs 15,995 and will be sold in Graphite and Pale Grey. Logitech also says each purchase includes a one-month Adobe Creative Cloud membership (apps like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro).

Opinion: Haptics on a mouse could sound like a “nice-to-have” until you spend eight hours a day in micro-movements. If Logitech has tuned it well, it could be the kind of feature you stop noticing because your workflow quietly gets smoother. At Rs 15,995, though, it will need to feel less like a novelty and more like a daily advantage.
