iQOO 15R confirmed to arrive in India soon: Details

The upcoming phone is likely to be a rebranded variant of the iQOO Z11 Turbo.

The iQOO 15R will be available in India soon. Following the release of the flagship iQOO 15 in November 2025, this device will be part of the iQOO 15 smartphone series. The teaser images show that the phone would have two rear cameras and a unique checkered design on the back. The device might operate on OriginOS 6, a version of Android 16. Rumours also suggest that the device will house a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, and Amazon will announce its release date.

iQOO 15R launch date

On Tuesday, the company announced the imminent launch of the iQOO 15R in India. Nipun Marya, the CEO of iQOO India, teased the launch on X.com but didn’t give a specific date, simply stating it was “Coming Soon”.

Confirmed Specifications

There isn’t much information available about the device, but teaser images show that it will have two rear cameras, a checkered pattern on the back panel, and a multi-tone finish in grey. The images show a square-shaped floating camera unit with rounded ends, like the iQOO 15, and an LED flash that is not part of the camera layout. It has curved edges and antenna bands above and below the power and volume controls on the right side.

Expected Specification

Reports say that the iQOO 15R might be a rebranded model of the iQOO Z11 Turbo, which just came out in China. It is likely to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.  It sports a 6.59-inch screen and an amazing 200-megapixel “ultra-clear” main camera on the back. The smartphone has a high-quality build, with a metal frame and a glass back panel. The rounded corners make it look appealing. The device is also said to be quite durable, with IP68 and IP69 classifications for dust and water protection, which means it will work well in various settings. The iQOO Z11 Turbo has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner to improve user security. This sensor is a new way to verify someone’s identity. OriginOS, which debuted on the iQOO 15 flagship phone in November, is likely to power the gadget.
