Samsung rolling out AirDrop support for the Galaxy S26 Series: Availability Details

Samsung’s focus on improving the ease of switching to Galaxy smartphones is strategic, particularly in light of the entrenched convenience that features like AirDrop offer to current Apple users.

Recently, reports regarding AirDrop support for the Galaxy S26 Series were circulating on the web. Today, the South Korean electronics firm has officially announced the rollout of the much-anticipated feature for its latest S-Series smartphones. The capability lets S26 Series users share files straight to iPhones without needing to utilise a third-party app. Currently, Samsung is rolling out the feature to eight markets. Keep on reading to know if the functionality is coming to your region.

Samsung has officially announced that it will add AirDrop support to the Galaxy S26 series. This will improve the Quick Share function, making it simpler for users to share content with each other. At first, only the Galaxy S26 series will be able to use this feature, but integration will be added to other Galaxy devices soon. This functionality will start rolling out on March 23, first in South Korea and then in other areas, including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. It’s important to keep in mind that the availability and timing of the rollout may differ by region.

The Galaxy S26 Series’ AirDrop-like capability will enable transfers between Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, and Macs. To effectively complete these transfers, customers must allow AirDrop visibility on their Apple devices. It is crucial to remember that during the transfer process, Galaxy phones may encounter brief Wi-Fi disconnections. Furthermore, Samsung’s Quick Share function will allow for the seamless sharing of photographs, movies, and documents not just across Galaxy phones but also with Apple devices.
