Launched in India last week, Realme 16T has officially gone on sale in India today. The biggest USP of the device is its monstrous 8,000mAh battery. The mid-range handset is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7 out of the box. The smartphone also features a tiny integrated back ‘selfie mirror’ that allows users to capture selfies using the primary rear camera, in line with Realme’s design trends. Additionally, the phone has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 rear camera.

The Realme 16T comes in three different configurations. The price of the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage is set at Rs 29,999. The 8GB RAM with 128GB and 256GB storage models are available at Rs 31,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively. The colours available include Starlight Black, Starlight Blue, and Starlight Red.

The phone can be purchased via the company’s official site in the country, Flipkart and other retail stores in the country.

The Realme 16T features a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports 16.7 million colours and can achieve 1,200 nits of brightness. The gadget is equipped with modern display technologies such as Sun Display, full-brightness DC dimming, and automatic and manual brightness control. The users may also change the colour temperature and have individual refresh rate control for each app. The screen has an amazing 90.4% screen-to-body ratio, which makes it more attractive to look at. It also has several user-friendly settings, including eye protection mode, sleep mode, and dark mode, to meet different viewing needs.

For durability, 16T is dust and water-resistant, according to the IP69 classification. It is certified to military standards for stress resistance and is well-suited to severe conditions. Panda glass protects the device, and an additional screen protector is pre-applied.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor that provides effective performance for a wide array of activities. It is available in versions with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM for seamless multitasking and an improved user experience. The device also has internal storage choices for up to 256GB of UFS 2.2, so you have enough room for applications, movies, and data. It runs on Android 16 with Realme UI 7.

The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 sensor as the main rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus support, so you can capture high-quality images. The camera setup also has a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 aperture for an improved photographic experience. Another handy addition to the camera system is Realme’s LumaColor IMAGE Engine, which uses AI technology to enhance skin tones, textures, and dynamic ranges, resulting in colourful and realistic photos. Users may now preview themselves via the back camera thanks to a special function that allows for rear selfies. The gadget also has a 16-megapixel camera on the front side in a hole-punch display.

It has a vapour chamber and a graphite cooling system that provides a large heat dissipation area of 13,280 mm².

The Realme 16T has a huge 8000mAh battery, which is expected to come with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging. It also supports 6.5W wired reverse charging and bypass charging. The battery is said to last up to three days on a single charge, with performance sustained over an astonishing span of up to 7 years, with smooth performance backed up for six years.
