Samsung has started dropping teasers for its new foldable series, which means its launch is imminent. The ‘Bold Stroke. New Shape.’ tagline hints towards a new form factor. Rumours suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold8 series could be getting a new passport-sized foldable. Since Apple is set to launch its first iPhone foldable with a similar form factor, it makes sense that Samsung is getting ahead of the curve. The old book-style form factor will be retained on the range-topping Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra model.
Both smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 ‘For Galaxy’ chipsets. The passport-size foldable is rumoured to get a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate.
