Krafton India has collaborated with Marvel to bring Spider-Man into BGMI with an upgrade called “Brand New Day” that will be live from July 30 to September 14. This update comes with a new vertical city, superhero powers and dramatic in-game events, which are a massive change in gameplay for BGMI. The partnership coincides with the theatrical premiere of the next Spider-Man movie and leans on high-mobility characteristics inspired by Spider-Man’s universe.
The game changes the playing experience quite a bit, going from fixed locations to mobility. A new urban district inspired by Spider-Man has been added to the Erangel map. The most notable elements of this region are the replacement of traditional fighting zones with a high-rise area called Skyline Plaza and a small vertical city planned with rooftop platforms and elevated pathways. Skyline Ziplines have been added as well to enable quick travel between rooftops. The emphasis on mobility changes the game experience quite a bit, with movement being as important as the ways to survive.
BGMI now offers Spider-Man-inspired skills, adding a new dimension to the gaming experience with two iconic items: Peter Parker’s Gloves and Hoodie. The Gloves are tailored for traversal and combat, offering skills like Web Swing for swift movement and Web Attack to deal damage and immobilise opponents. On the other hand, Peter Parker’s Hoodie boosts mobility and perception, including Wall Climbing to scale vertical surfaces, Spider Sense to track enemy movements, and a Double Jump to improve rooftop navigation. This collaboration injects a fresh level of excitement into the gaming experience and adds extra strategic layers to the game.
The new update adds a lot of depth to the gameplay, with deep story-driven locations and dramatic moments that take us back to some of the great moments of Spider-Man. Peter Parker’s Apartment is a core element of the game that allows players to explore his private living area, locating interactive objects and hidden Easter eggs to increase player engagement. There’s also the Rescue Photo Zone, including a cinematic sequence in which Spider-Man courageously rescues a player from falling, thereby allowing a unique in-game photo chance to capture the event.

The Train Rescue Sequence also has a scripted cinematic that replays one of the great moments in Spider-Man legends and rewards the players for their accomplishment in completing it. Lastly, the Cemetery Tribute Zone is a reflective area for players to explore and encounter different tributes, collect rewards, and possibly discover Spider-Man hidden as a playful Easter egg, further enhancing the emotional resonance of the story.

The collaboration has introduced a new gaming experience called “WOW Mode,” which differs from the battle royale experience. This mode is more story-driven and exploration-focused, allowing players to swing around the city and tackle objectives based on Spider-Man. The gameplay mechanics include parkour-style rooftop challenges and a system of progression-based rewards to enhance the gaming experience. The goal is to turn BGMI into a creative playground and take it beyond conventional combat scenarios.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day collaboration is set to be available from July 30 to September 14, 2026, as part of the BGMI 4.5 update.
