Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, marking a significant advancement in the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, a big step forward for its folding series. The new Ultra variant is aimed at better performance and premium hardware after last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 that brought a big design refresh with a thinner and lighter body. Our Take
The Fold 8 Ultra has an 8.0-inch inner display, which is the same size as the Fold 7, but a slightly smaller cover screen of 6.49 inches compared to the Fold 7’s 6.5 inches. Both smartphones use Dynamic AMOLED 2x technology and a 120 Hz refresh rate; however, the Fold 8 Ultra has higher peak brightness and resolution. Both versions include a 200MP main camera and a 10MP front-facing camera; however, the Fold 8 Ultra has a greatly enhanced 50MP ultra-wide camera compared to the Fold 7’s 12MP ultra-wide.

Both are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Furthermore, the Fold 8 Ultra packs a larger 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. That’s a big improvement over the Fold 7’s 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging support – meaning more usage time and faster charging.
