iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max Specifications
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in four different colours, Black, Silver, Glacier and Burgundy. The Pro has a 6.3 inch display, while the Pro Max has a bigger 6.9 inch display. Among the most obvious improvements made in these models is the Dynamic Island, which has been upgraded to show three live activities at the same time, giving consumers a more dynamic and real-time experience.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are powered by the new A20 Pro CPU, built on an innovative 2nm manufacturing technology for heavy on-device AI operations, and run on iOS 27. The CPU is a 6-core design with 4 efficiency cores and 2 beefed-up super cores, which are said to be up to 20% quicker than before and said to be “desktop-class” and the quickest in any smartphone. All models come with 12GB of RAM and a new in-house C2 modem.
Apple also revamped the inside of the phone, using a next-generation vapour chamber cooling system with three times the surface area of the iPhone 17 Pro’s cooling system. The A20 Pro has a deionised water circulation system to help disperse heat and improve sustained performance under heavy workloads.
The latest iPhones include an innovative triple rear camera array, including a 48-megapixel Fusion main sensor with a variable aperture, a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 48-megapixel 2x telephoto lens. The front camera has an 18-megapixel sensor with autofocus. The 18 Pro has several major upgrades, including its photography capabilities with a new 48-megapixel Fusion primary camera with a variable aperture that dynamically changes to optimise light and depth of focus for better photos and videos. Key innovations include Automatic Scene Adjustment that lets the aperture open in low-light circumstances to capture 50% more light and the Laser-Cut Blade Architecture with 6 ultra-thin blades that provide variable aperture capability.
The new “Pro Controls” also let users manually control camera settings like aperture, shutter speed, white balance and a live histogram for checking exposure live. Finally, the Apple Reference Image feature improves photo authenticity by signing photo data at the pixel level and storing it securely in the Photos app.
