Google Pixel phones will start receiving the new Android 10 operating system

Google will be rolling out Android Q today for Pixel smartphones

As we all are now aware that Android Q will now be known as Android 10 as the software company Google has decided to discontinue the naming of the Android version based on desserts for its new operating systems. Many smartphone companies have already announced that their phones will be getting the new update. Companies such as Nokia, Google, OnePlus and Huawei have already confirmed that their set of smartphones will get the updates first. The latest is that Google is planning to roll out Android 10 to all of its pixel phones from today. The list includes all the Pixel phones from the first generation to the latest ones that is Google Pixel 3a.

Previously the Canadian carrier Rogers revealed that Google will be releasing Android 10 for all of its smartphones starting from September 3 and now another Canadian network Telus has also revealed the same launch date. Rogers has also shared a list of Pixel devices that will receive the Android 10 on its customer support page.

According to the list Pixel and Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and last but not the least latest Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL were mentioned with Q OS that point towards Android Q.

While on the other hand another Canadian carrier Telus also reported the expected launch date of the Android 10 on its support website. Additionally, it also posted a list of all the Pixel phones that will receive the Android Q + security update first. It is interesting to see that Google is quickly pushing the latest updates on its own smartphones first. However, rumour was that OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro will be the first to receive the new OS. Nevertheless, they are still slated to receive the new OS in the coming weeks.
