Over 60 smartphones will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset soon, including Asus Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone 3

Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 865 mobile chipset in December last year

Qualcomm mobile chipsets are leaps and bounds ahead of its competition. While the largest chipmaker (Intel) struggles in the mobile arena, Mediatek is somewhat surviving in the market. In December of 2019, Qualcomm had announced the 5G ready Snapdragon 865 chipsets for mid to high-end smartphones. Many including Vivo’s iQoo and Samsung have already brought smartphones with the flagship mobile CPU by Qualcomm.

The latest news by Qualcomm is that there are over 60 smartphones getting ready to be shipped with SD 865 SoC. As said, this is the firm’s flagship processor for mobiles and is best known to easily play graphic hungry games as well as manage heavy tasks on mobiles. Out of the 60 smartphones, various companies have already decided names of at least 17 of them. Qualcomm has confirmed this and has revealed the names of some of them as well.

These range from gaming smartphones from Asus and Lenovo to high-end mobiles from Vivo and Oppo. Below is the list of unannounced Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile phones that will come to a store (online or offline) near you:

  • Oppo Find X2
  • Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone
  • Nubia Red Magic 5G
  • Redmi K30 Pro
  • Asus ROG Phone 3
  • Vivo APEX 2020 Concept Phone
  • Asus ZenFone 7

Qualcomm has also said that over 1,700 designs in the works or in the prelim stages that are being researched on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform. This is good news indeed as many mobile players have picked up the latest SoC for their flagship offerings. Also, with iQoo launching it at an affordable price, we for one are waiting for OnePlus. as to see at what price will they bring the 8 series of its smartphone.
