iQOO 3 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 5G connectivity unveiled in India: Pricing and Specification

On Monday the Chinese smartphone brand Realme arrived in India with its first 5G smartphone called Realme X50 Pro 5G despite the fact that there is no 5G availability in the country. Today another 5G smartphone launched in the country. Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO launched its gaming-centric phone iQOO 3. The device comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset with the quad rear camera setup, a Super AMOLED display with a hole punch. Over that there is a 4440 mAh battery with 55W fast charging support that claims to charge the phone up to 50 percent in just 15 minutes.

iQOO 3 5G specifications

iQOO 3 comes with a 6.44-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1200 nits peak brightness, 1080 x 2400 pixels of resolution and  91.40 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display offers a 180Hz touch sampling rate and is protected with a layer of Schott Xensation UP. The device runs on iQoo UI 1.0 on top of Android 10. Under the hood, there is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor with a 5G modem paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

Coming to the camera capabilities, iQOO 3 equips a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor with  f/1.79 aperture. It further includes a 13-megapixel telephoto camera sensor with f/2.46 aperture with 20x digital zoom, a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view and  f/2.2 aperture and lastly a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and video calls the smartphone employs a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.

For connectivity, there is 5G, 4G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, USB Type-C 2.0, GPS and Glonass. The sensors on the phone include an in-display fingerprint sensor, an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope and proximity sensor. iQOO 3 houses a  4,440mAh battery that is supported by 55W Super FlashCharge technology.

iQOO 3 pricing and availability

The company has launched the two variants of iQOO 3 that are 4G and 5G. The 4G variant comes in different configurations of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage at Rs 36,990 while the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model comes with a price tag of Rs 39,990. The 5G variant can be purchased at Rs 44,990 for the 12GB RAM with 256GB of storage. Both the variants will be available in three colour options Quantum Silver, Volcano Orange and Tornado Black. The device will go on sale in the country via e-commerce platform Flipkart as well as iQoo.com on March 4 at 12 noon onwards. 

The launch offers include Rs 3000 off if the transaction is made via ICICI Bank debit and credit cards along with no-cost EMI offers on the purchase of iQOO 3.
