Redmi Note 9 new Shadow Black colour option now available in India

Few months back Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 9 in India. At the time of the launch, Redmi introduced the smartphone in three colour options Aqua Green, Arctic White and Pebble Grey. But now the company has introduced this phone in a Shadow Black colour option in India. Rest of the specifications of the smartphone remain the same which includes 5020mAh battery with 22.5W fast-charging support and reverse charging feature as well as a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Redmi Note 9 new Shadow Black colour option price and availability details

At the time of the launch, Redmi Note 9 was introduced in three colour options Aqua Green, Arctic White, and Pebble Grey. In August a fourth colour option – Scarlet Red was added but now Shadow Black colour option is the newest addition to the smartphone for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The 128GB storage option will be available at Rs 12,999 whereas 6GB RAM option is priced at Rs 14,499. The new colour option is priced at Rs 11,499 and will be available for Diwali sale on the company’s website for a limited time period.

Redmi Note 9 new Shadow Black colour option specifications

Redmi Note 9 comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The phone runs on MIUI custom skin on top of Android 10 OS and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset paired with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

Redmi Note 9 features a quad rear camera setup consisting of a Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a secondary 8megapixel ultrawide angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and lastly a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there is a 13-megapixel in-display selfie camera.

The smartphone is fuelled by a 5020mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support along with 9W reverse charging feature. Additionally, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.

In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC (select markets), infrared (IR) blaster, GPS, A-GPS and more. The sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light, infrared (IR) blaster, and a proximity sensor.
