How to check if your AADHAAR is linked to your PAN card?

The deadline to link your AADHAAR to your PAN card is March 31 2023.

In case you missed the notification, the Central Govt of India has made it mandatory to link your AADHAAR to your PAN Card by March 31 2023. The deadline was extended last year with an added penalty fee of Rs 1,000. Failure to link your AADHAAR with your PAN card will render your PAN card useless. Don’t remember whether you linked the two already? In this article, we bring you two quick ways to check if your AADHAAR is linked to your PAN card.

Check status via SMS

Step 1: Launch the native ‘Messages’ app on your phone and create a new message.

Step 2: Type ‘UIDPAN’ (without the quotes) followed by your AADHAAR card number (12 digits) and PAN card number (10 digits). All entries must be separated by a space between them. Refer to the format below.

Step 3: Send the SMS to 567678 or 56161.

Step 4: You will receive a message telling you whether your AADHAAR is linked to your PAN card or not.

Check status via UTI web portal

Step 1: Visit the UTI portal to check AADHAAR linking status. Click here to visit the website.

Step 2: Enter your PAN number, date of birth, and the captcha in their appropriate fields.
