Step 1: Launch the Paytm app on your device and select Wallet.

Step 2: Tap on Gift Voucher and change it to Paytm Wallet. The header should now read ‘Add money to Paytm Wallet’.

Step 3: Enter the amount you want to send and hit Proceed.

Step 4: Hit Add [amount] in the popup box.

Step 5: In the payment options window, tap on UPI and select GPay.

Step 6: Enter your UPI PIN to complete the money transfer.

Paytm and Gpay support UPI (Universal Payments Interface) transactions, which means you don’t need to transfer money to your online wallet before sending it to the recipient. With UPI, you can send money directly from your bank account to another party at any given time. Here’s how you can send money via UPI on the Paytm app.

Step 1: Launch the Paytm app on your smartphone.

Step 2: Select the transfer method for the UPI transaction. You can choose to send money to the recipient using their phone number or UPI ID.

Step 3: To send money to a GPay UPI ID, tap on ‘To Bank or Self A/c’ and select ‘Enter UPI ID of Any UPI App’. Alternatively, you can also scan the QR Code linked to the recipient’s account by tapping on ‘Scan & Pay’.

Step 4: Enter the amount you want to pay and hit Pay Securely.

Step 5: Enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

Does the GPay app have a wallet?

Google has a separate wallet app of its own called ‘Google Wallet’. This app is currently not available in India. The GPay can be used for UPI transactions and bank transfers.

Can I transfer money to my Paytm wallet using GPay?

Paytm allows you to add money using any UPI service, including Gpay. Simply go to the Wallet option and select ‘Add money’. You can complete the transaction using GPay, PhonePe, BHIM, or any other app that allows UPI transfers.

What is the maximum amount of money that I can add to my Paytm wallet?

Your Paytm wallet cannot exceed an amount of Rs 1 lakh. This means the maximum amount of money you can add to it is Rs 99,999.
