With the introduction of AMD’s new bug bounty program with Intigriti, security researchers and ethical hackers can now report bugs in AMD’s software, firmware, or hardware in exchange for cash rewards. Through AMD’s bug bounty programme, possible problems may be found before they are made public, which would be advantageous for both the firm and the possibility of large payouts.
AMD has collaborated with Intigriti, a crowdsourcing security service provider, to launch a new bug bounty programme. AMD’s awards are based on the severity of the problem and the product category. While announcing the Bug Bounty Program AMD said, “Following on from its private Bug Bounty initiative, AMD today announced that it is working with Intigriti to launch a new public Bug Bounty Program, enabling researchers across the ecosystem to submit vulnerabilities to further safeguard its products for customers and the IT ecosystem as a whole.”
AMD’s Bug Bounty Program will allow researchers from across the ecosystem to submit vulnerabilities to help protect its products for customers and the IT ecosystem as a whole. Furthermore, AMD invites security researchers to collaborate with the team to reduce and coordinate the disclosure of potential security flaws.
In support of the program, AMD will be offering monetary rewards based on the severity and impact of the reported issues. Successful bug bounty hunters can earn more than $90,000 per year by locating bugs.

AMD provides public bug bounty rewards ranging from low to high severity, covering hardware, firmware, and software, with variable sums for each severity.
Other large PC sector companies, such as Intel, Apple and others, have bug reward programmes in place to ensure that their systems and products are free of previously unknown vulnerabilities.

The company said, “Product security is of critical importance to AMD and this collaboration with academics, security researchers and ethical hackers, alongside the promotion of security research, is an important step in continuing to improve the security of AMD products. Additionally, AMD encourages security researchers to work with the team to help mitigate and coordinate the disclosure of potential security vulnerabilities.”
