Pixel Watch 3 Specifications
The Pixel Watch 3 has two display sizes: 41mm and 45mm, and uses Google’s Actua display, as opposed to the previous model’s AMOLED screen. It has a peak brightness of 2,000nits. They also automatically adapt to as low as 1 nit in dark surroundings for a more discrete look. It has narrower bezels than its predecessor. The displays are larger due to thinner bezels: the 45mm watch has 40% more screen, while the 41mm has 10% more screen than the Pixel Watch 2. Both are more power efficient, with refresh rates ranging from 60Hz to 1Hz in always-on displays.
The Pixel Watch 3 has efficient screens, Wear OS 5, and a hybrid architecture to ensure long battery life. It detects sleep using machine learning and activates Bedtime Mode, which disables notifications and the always-on display for uninterrupted sleep. The Battery Saver Mode increases battery life to 36 hours in both sizes, without sacrificing health and fitness tracking or safety features. The 45mm model features a 35% larger battery, whilst the 41mm version charges 20% faster, saving up to 15 minutes.

The Pixel Watch 3 includes three new features: Daily Readiness, Cardio Load, and Target Load. Daily Readiness monitors and analyses your body’s recovery biometrics, such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and sleep, to provide a complete picture of your fitness for training. Cardio Load helps you track your workout by measuring heart rate and intensity throughout the day. It also monitors patterns over time to help you determine whether you’re over- or under-training, maintaining or improving your fitness.
Every morning, the Fitbit Morning Brief generates a personalised workout target based on recent cardio load and readiness. It helps individuals improve their fitness while balancing recovery. The daily digest covers sleep, readiness, target cardio load, and weekly activity goals. The app also displays weather and notifies users if measures such as HRV, SpO2, or Skin Temperature are outside of their specific range. This allows you to easily set and track your daily fitness goals.
The Pixel Watch 3 gives runners new options for setting up runs, navigating them, and reflecting on their progress. Users can utilise the Workout Builder to build custom runs, select distance, time, pace, or heart rate zone goals, and schedule interval runs. The watch delivers haptic input and voice instruction, letting users know when to warm up, slow down, or begin interval runs. This real-time guidance is powered by continuous sampling and machine learning-based heart rate monitoring. The most recent version of the watch also increases heart rate detection, resulting in the most precise heart rate for running yet.
The Pixel Watch 3 uses powerful motion sensing and machine learning to track running form, resulting in a full study of steps, strides, and ground contact times. It also keeps personal records on the Fitbit app’s running dashboard. Fitbit Premium provides Google AI-powered daily run recommendations based on target loads and prior runs. Premium members can now take Peloton workout classes with Peloton instructors. The Pixel Watch 3 includes six months of Fitbit Premium, which provides personalised guidance and insights to help you maximise your training efforts. The watch also provides access to a range of Peloton training courses led by Peloton instructors.

The Pixel Watch 3 offers a new feature called Loss of Pulse Detection, which detects heart-stopping events. This is a medical emergency that can affect people of all ages and be caused by either internal or external heart abnormalities. The capability can automatically contact emergency agencies and send an automated message containing essential context and location. It will be offered in Europe in September and further developed with regulatory agencies to increase its availability to other nations.
