Fitbit Charge 5 is now available for sale in the country. The American fitness watch manufacturer has announced the availability of the fitness tracker, however, it was launched in India later last month.
The device comes with improved health and fitness features. In addition, the company has also introduced relaxation features from the Calm app offering content such as Sleep, Meditation and Relaxation. Read on to know about the Fitbit Charge price, specs and availability details.

Fitbit Charge 5 has been introduced in India at Rs 14,999. The device will come in Graphite/ Black, Platinum/ Steel Blue, and Soft Gold/ Lunar White colour options. The fitness watch includes a six-month Premium membership and is available at Fitbit.com/in.

In terms of specifications, Fitbit Charge 5 highlights a 1.04-inch colour AMOLED display with touchscreen support. The device also offers 450 nits of peak brightness and an always-on feature with 20 watch faces that lets you personalise the screen based on the information you wanted to see. One can easily swipe and view your stats and receive or send notifications just from your wrist.
The Fitbit Charge 5 includes GPS + GLONASS along with other important sensors like SPO2, skin temp sensor as well as optical heart rate sensor. The device is water and dust resistant and can withstand up to 50 metres in water so it can be worn during swimming. There is support for NFC and the fitness band compatible with devices running Android 8.0 or later and iOS 12.2 or higher.
And, with six months of Fitbit Premium included, you’ll get deeper insights, actionable guidance and a range of more than 500 workouts, plus mindfulness and nutritional content to empower you to do what’s best for your body each day. According to the company, the Fitbit premium new Daily Readiness experience will soon be expanded to Charge 5, as well as Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Luxe and Inspire 2 devices, you can understand if your body is ready for a workout or if you should prioritize recovery instead.
Not only this, Google-owned Fitbit has also collaborated with the Calm app to provide updates for Fitbit Premium users. It will include content such as pp for Sleep, Meditation & Relaxation, which is now available in-app for Fitbit Premium members, providing users access to 30 curated pieces of sleep and stress-reducing Calm content. Fitbit Sense users will be also able to see the effect a Calm session has on their heart rate and EDA responses via a guided session.
Also, Snore and Noise Detect feature is now available to Sense and Versa 3 users that will help users better understand their sleeping environments, the microphone on their Sense or Versa 3 samples sound every few seconds to monitor snoring and ambient noise levels when sleeping
