Vivo Y18i budget smartphone with 5,000mAh battery launched in India

The smartphone includes a 90Hz display.

The Vivo Y18i, a low-cost smartphone, was released in India today. The gadget has a 6.56-inch HD+ display. It is powered by Unisoc’s T612 chipset. It has a 13MP primary camera and a 5,000mAh battery. The gadget is IP54-rated and runs Funtouch OS 14, which is based on Android 14.

Vivo Y18i has launched in India with a price tag of Rs 7,999 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage model. The device is listed on the company’s website but will be available through offline retailers in the country. The handset will be offered in two colour options Gem Green and Space Black.

Vivo Y18i specifications

The Vivo Y18i features a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD with 1,612 × 720 pixels of resolution. The screen has 90Hz refresh rate support. The budget phone runs on Funtouch OS 14-based Android 14 out of the box. It is powered by a Unisoc T612 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The RAM can be virtually expanded up to 8GB that will be taken out from unused storage. Over that, the internal storage can be expanded using a microSD card.

For photos and videos, Vivo Y18i comes with a dual rear camera that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 0.08-megapixel secondary sensor. Also, there is a front-facing 5-megapixel camera for taking selfies and for video calling.

The device boasts a 5,000mAh battery. In addition to this, its IP54 rating ensures dust and water resistance.

The Vivo Y18i has built-in sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, OTG, FM radio, and a USB 2.0 port for charging.
